Not a big fan of using charity as a vehicle for hybrid nonsense. Hope it raised a few bob.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

It was a much more entertaining afternoon than I had expected. Special kudos to Gaz Ellis, who played the full 80 and didn't look out of puff at all. 10,044 the official crowd.

Nice to see there was a decent turnout, and reassuring to know that Barrie Mac hasn't forgotten his special skill.

How was the game itself...did it flow or was it all over the place ?

Just got back from Headingley with the wife. Great atmosphere, game played in a great spirit. Both teams played well. And just for once- no league,no union, just rugby. All for a great cause to help beat this horrific illness.

The Barrie Mac ‘sending off’ was clearly all set up.

I enjoyed the game for what it was, some decent skill and dome decent hits.

Both Dannys (Cipriani and McGuire) still have all the skills!

Would be interesting to see the rules played by current players, didn’t like the unlimited tackle rule (in your own half) and the 5m line was too short.

Some of the union boys showed skill and I think they enjoyed the extra room to actually play

I hadn't been aware that this was on on Sunday.

Glad to hear that it seems to have been well-attended and a success.

I would have paid to stream it, had it been available and I had known about it!

Well done to all concerned!

It was a great occasion mate. Played in a good spirit, the crowd enjoyed it too. And all for a great cause. Just over 10k in attendance. Always a good atmosphere at Headingley.

Considering the age of the players it flowed very well. Helped by there being no penalties that I can recall and very few forward passes being called. There was a fairly loose interpretation of what constituted a knock on from Mr Thaler, as well. He had a good game!

very entertaining day out, which is the point of rugby innit. all seemed to work ok flowed well and the going back 5 instead of 10 made the biggest difference as players cant build up as much pace to hit the line with so to make a gap you need to do something more skilful to make the space. which was a positive IMO.

hopefully it can be an annual thing. ill be back

Great occasion.  Played in a good spirit.  Clearly it was reffed to take into account the fitness of the older players.  It was a good turnout.  McGuire looked good as did Leuluai.  Cipriani looked decent as did Twelvetrees.    Barrie Mac's red card for the mock dust up with Doddie Weir's lad was funny.

It was a great day. I'm no Rhino's fan but I love Headingley. Great ground and a great atmosphere. I too would be back if they did it again.

Well hopefully there will be some highlights

I know the main focus is charity but it will be fascinating to see how the ruck works in practice....and the 5 m line

If you want to know how the 5m rule would work , just watch any SL game from 2024 😉

(Insert rival teams name here) are offside at every tackle, whereas (Insert your team here) are disciplined and are unfairly penalised for offside.

Why on earth wasn't this game covered/filmed?

Is this yet another example, of our homespun marketing genius?

It's an uncanny decision but more than that, don't you think there's something suspicious about it?

Didn't a single one, of the 10,000 plus spectators make any video film of the game (or snippets of it)?

Has nothing appeared on You Tube (or here)?

The FBI/CIA/MSS/KGB/MI5 would be proud of this level of suppression.

Thank you for making me aware of this.

I was hoping my tongue in cheek post would flush out some coverage.

I'm grateful to you.
