As a Thunder fan when Cornwall came out at home with three teams left I'm relieved to avoid that trip. Nothing against our friends at Cornwall!

Batley at home, hopefully we can get a decent crowd, it all helps!

Couple of cool "derby" possibilities in round 2. Maryport away to Barrow if they beat Crossfields. And Irish club Longhorns could play the Welsh Aberavon Fighting Irish.

Please correct me if I am wrong but aren't York playing Hull KR in Amsterdam on Sat 25th?  If so, when will their 2nd round tie at Keighley take place?

I'm sure I read somewhere that it will be played the following week. I'm not sure what the plan is for the 1895 cup fixtures scheduled for the replacement date.

If common sense was used, Keighley v York could be played the week of round 1.

Just found this from Loverugbyleague:

'Whoever York draw, the Knights will play their Round Two tie out in early February having double-booked themselves in for a friendly against Hull KR in Amsterdam on the weekend above (25/26).

Thanks.

Oldham at home to Mayfield, if the latter beat Telford…..and we thought there would be no Oldham v Rochdale derby this season…bring it on.

I’ll likely be down at Aberavon for their clash if any posters are local or even travelling down with Blackbrook.

Last time I was at Aberavon the was over 1500 there. Is the clubhouse still nearby? Afters was fantastic 😊

Love the CC kicking off the season.

An SCL derby to welcome in the New Year.

(Army v RAF) v (Rhinos v Warriors) is a great opportunity for all four of those sides to get a third round match.

Are there still minimum ground requirements, I.e. could any of these play a third round tie at home?

Army almost certainly could, if they use the Aldershot military stadium, which they have done in the past. Would think Wests could host a game at Wasps without any problem too.

Love the early rounds of the Challenge Cup watching the London southern conference teams take on the northern community and semi pro sides.  Always great competitive games.

Wests switched the Widnes game a couple of seasons back.

Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

True, it was a memorable occasion. I wonder whether the fact that all 12 SL clubs will be drawn away in the third round will also mean that swapping venues to the away team is no longer permitted?

I'd hope there was some leeway - if we ended up with a fixture like West Hull Vs a Hull pro-club in R3, surely it would be best for everyone to switch it.
