Erm it's preseason friendlies for next season which is 2025 so technically its a friendly for the 2025 season.

Dumped that idea 20 years ago.  It didn't work.  No reason to bring it back.  Season's too long already.  Why aren't players allowed to have a Christmas with their famiies?

Yeah, all those boxing day games that aren't happening in football tomorrow ....... 

Why anyone thinks it would deliver bumper crowds to start the season the day after Christmas I have no idea.
