Leeds might be in for a tough night. Wigan wont take being embarrassed lying down.

Leeds are probably well enough drilled in defence to avoid a humiliation, but it's going to be hard work, especially with their toothless attack.

Leeds 6 v 26 Wigan

I always read that we bounce back really well from defeats but I'm not sure that's hugely accurate. We have iffy spells of 3 or 4 games pretty much every season and had one last year that included a pasting at Headingley. We've had a couple of big wins at Headingley in the last decade but overall, our record is pretty poor and I never feel confident going there. If we win, it'll be close IMO but it could go either way. I doubt Field will play and he's been comfortably our best player this season.

I'll say Wigan by 4.

But, Leeds haven't shown they are better than Hull FC this season.

Let us have some hope Harry!

I think Leeds will get absolutely battered.

Hope I'm wrong though!

Your hope could have a chance of coming true Cliff, if Leeds target French early doors fairly and legally (albeit easier said than done) with some bone crunchers, already being without Field they are a completely different proposition when either are of them not on the paddock but both missing is calamitous for them, there was a table done last season which gave Wigans results when they were missing either individually and both of them in the same game and the win ratio dropped alarmingly.

Saying that whoever they played for it would probably have the same effect. But it is a strategy that could pay dividends.

😂😂😂😂 that table lovingly created on your kitchen table. Yes, sure, Wigan are actually rubbish aside from 2 players. Keep telling yourself that, it’ll get you through another day.

Tbf I think we all believe Wigan are still a top side but any team misses their best players when not available.

Mr Stottle genuinely believes that we would be bottom but for 2 players.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we lose. We are an unusual all conquering team in that we are not that much better than a lot of other teams, and we don’t have to dip far before most teams could beat us. It’s testimony to Peet’s coaching and ability to improve players that we have done as well as we can.

But we are a million miles behind our Bank of England glory year teams, or Leeds’ great side or Saints’ 3 great sides from the SL era.

Which is a good thing.

Fair enough, I think we’re all hoping to arrive at a time when every team has a chance and every game has a good level of quality 👍

I’m happy with the starting lineup for Leeds given who’s available. Fingers crossed for a good performance 🤞
