Season ticket sales

Recommended Posts

Very good effort by Rovers.

Would like them to pull in a few more occassional fans,so they have a couple more 10,000 crowds,to go with their regular 7,000 ish attendances.

Sales seem to be going well at a number of other Clubs, including Leeds.

Despite the increase, that’s a shocking figure for a well established Super League club.

Yeah maybe so, the fans are there but a lot of false dawns and a losing side for majority of our SL existence hasnt helped. Plus Belle Vue is hardly a place that inspires a new fan.

Carter has said we can spend to cap if we get 6k attendances, think we averaged about 5.3 last year so not far to go hopefully

Yes I think SL crowds across the board will be up this year.

Rovers averaged 7,964 in 2018 so with increased season tickets sales and 2 home derbies the club should easily average above 8,000 in 2019.

I don't think creating a bit of 'feel good' around the game can be underestimated. We are getting there.

The negativity around the Super 8's has gone, the negativity around SLE being held back by the RFL is gone (in principle), and we have a new focus on creating stars and some good new signings using the marquee rule.

Can't wait for the Rugby!

A feel good factor is often hard to quantify but it is certainly very beneficial and creates a real momentum.

Wakefield is in one of the poorest economic areas of the country, doesn't surprise me at all even given the city of Wakefield population of over 100k and the wider metropolitan borough over 1/3M.

Well done to KR though, not sure what the capacity of their ground is now but it'll be a good atmosphere there even if the crowds won't exactly be massive.

However financially it's still not enough, they need 10k average to break even according to Hudgell and that was a couple of years ago.

He said that 7 years ago. Since then they have the new North Stand and all the additional income streams that entails. They also more importantly get well over £600,000 extra in TV money.

So you think less than 10k will mean KR break even/make a profit?

7 years ago things were cheaper, costs have gone up for absolutely everything, maybe you think all clubs actually stick to the salary cap too.

You might want to ask Hudge if KR are making a profit on their crowdsextra TV money and revenue streams?

And...

  • 50% off your 2019 Magic Weekend ticket
  • Buy Backs scheme for games you can’t attend. Can’t make a game? List your spot for Buy Backs and you’ll get a match credit to redeem against future tickets and travel if your spot sells
  • ‘Bring A Friend for Free’ Voucher (selected fixtures only – to be confirmed when 2019 fixtures are released)
  • £5 voucher for Leeds Rhinos Retail
  • Free travel to one away League fixture
  • Discounts & priority booking for non-League and Cup games
  • Leeds Rhinos Crash Card - get discounts on loads of great restaurants, shops and days out across the UK
  • Free copy of the Official 2019 Club Handbook

Amazing package, if I lived anywhere near Leeds I would definitely go for it. They have put incentives into bringing new people, away travel, priority bookings etc. If Leeds were my local club this would certainly tip the balance in favour of being a season ticket holder.

The thread is about season ticket sales. The fact is a heartland club that’s 100+ years old, has been in Super League for 20 years, can only scrape together 3000 season ticket holders.

You have joined here to troll simple as that. We can see right through you. You offer nothing positive or constructive for that

simple reason. Troll.

TotalRL is a lot better than other 'forums' for not letting trolls run amok!

More debate on here and less WUMS.

No I haven’t, I have joined to discuss rugby league, you just can’t take any criticism of your club snowflake.

IMO the sooner Salford and Wakefield are replaced in Super League by Toronto and Toulouse the better, you can’t accept that so shout troll at any criticism of Wakefield.

It is wrong to say that TRL dont promote the game. Its their whole raison d'etre. Its wrong to say they don't allow free speech, either. For some unknown reason, youve a bee in your bonnet. Did you once apply for a TRL job and fail?
