Thats right, he was one of Ross O’Reillys signing I recall. Cochrane was a hell of a player as well, was Andy Platt coach when they were signed?

Cochrane was going well for us then had that freak accident at Keighley when he tumbled over the wall onto the terraces and fractured his skull. I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally
homeandawayer Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Baildon was 1997 and the other two were 1999. Cochrane was a revelation when switched to loose forward before the Keighley incident.
WTRLFC WEBSITE Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Number 22, signed - announced tonight at 6pm. UTT

The end of last season couldn’t come quickly enough for me, but I’m looking forward to this season as there doesn’t seem to be any pressure - although that could easily change if early results don’t go our way. There seems to be a renewed vigour to do things the right way with the ladies team, support for the creation of DPR and a willingness to listen. let’s hope this is the dawn of a new era! Think with Anthony Murray at the helm it will give the club a new direction, he is a guy that gets the very best out of his players.
homeandawayer Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Another one incoming at 6.00, must be Buffer.

Peter Winthorpe Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 He is Tallish about 6 foot judging by the doors which are 6 foot 6inches or were when DP was built.

Churchill Drivers Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Strong in defence at Centre but does not get a lot of ball to his winger.

Will he be first choice centre though with Sabutey, Bickerdike and Hurst all being centres and Burns at fullback? If he is left centre and Caine at right back row there won't be many getting past us on the flanks! Loose forward ?
DavidM Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Don’t see this one at all personally but they’re you go
bobg Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Didn’t see this one coming, welcome back Jason.
Peter Winthorpe Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Good player 5 or so years ago, but he must be in his late 30s now A good local squad player with good defence if he has good pace on his wing. Welcome back Jason.
Big Yin Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Dear me is this serious Jason Mossop was past it when he left. From what I heard from up the road there wingers never got a pass and in cold days hyperthermia was known to set in. Also if relying on Forber to lead the pack round the field I can see a long season
donald Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Was quality for us the 2 or 3 seasons we had him

dkw Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 We definitely needed some experience, helps that he knows the club well and can help the coaches and young players as he did at Hunslet.
Neutralfan7 Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Town seem to be pulling together a good squad, think it's a good bit of business bringing in someone of Jason's experience, local lad who can help the new locals transition into the semi-pro game
