I wasn’t wowed by the skill factor most of the night, but it was close and tense enough to keep me happily typing away on here.

An obvious clue that the game doesn't grab your attention, personally I usually wait till both half time and full time before commenting.

When Smith took over last season he transformed the attack in a short period of time.  We looked a threat from anywhere on the field, which has made the start of this season all the more disappointing.

Same player's before Smith took over, New Coach syndrome improved them end of last season, now back to normality.

I'm not sure it was just down to new coach syndrome last season. We looked like a team that had been working together on the training field. Plenty of pre planned moves and off loads.  This season in the main they look like strangers.

It was pretty boring , 2 poor teams , too many mistakes

yep - poor quality- if that Olpherts lad is the best a team like Leeds can find then it must be slim pickings out there

Surprised at how poor Leeds were today but I, along with most other Cas fans, just wanted to see some pride and passion again after last weeks debacle.

We got that and the win was a bonus - biggest plus for me was how together they seemed as a team compared to last week when they looked like they'd never met before.

Leeds season won't be defined on last night - they're far better than that.

I thought Watts and Westerman were terrific

Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

One other thing to note regarding the mistakes form both sides - it was much much wetter and slippy than really came across on TV

Congrats on the Win, your guys clearly wanted it more and looked more cohesive.

I thought Miller was great for you, however I thought Widdop was very poor TBH.

Mind you he played better than our halfbacks.

Every game cannot be a classic fast running, free flowing and defence master piece of tactical prowess with a scorline close to the fiinal seconds.

At least it was a close fought game which kept you watching and didn't have extreme lengths of dullness that other rugby type ganes can offer.

Can't say I enjoyed it much. Looked particulalry slow for some reason ....crowd sounded quite than usual for the Jungle too

Important won for Cas.  Born mainly out of enthusiasm and will to win.  Was good to see and I think the extra efforts stood out (driving players about in gang tackles and forcing errors).  No doubt a bit of a seige mentality kicked in.

As some of said, in the main the game lacked quality. One of the exceptions to that was the planned play from the scrum for Cas's second try, quality play perfectly executed.  Quite fitting it ultimately won the game.

Rohan smith is a bit of an obscure oddball making some very strange decisions namely Levi Edwards, jack broadbent and kruise leeming

I honestly can't see what Smith is trying to achieve. Any player with a  bit of flair gone, to be replaced with dullards.
And Olpherts should be  nowhere near an SL team.
We used to be renowned for half back brilliance ever since I started watching Lewis Jones. That and the short kicking game was very poor.

Where has that flair gone?
