A couple of juicy fixtures for the last weekend of League 1.  Could Cornwall repeat their victory over Crusaders? Will Dewsbury keep their foot on the gas at the top? Will Workington field a weaker team knowing they cant get any higher up the table? But most importantly, will North Wales Crusaders hold onto their 6th place and beat London Skolars?

My predicted winners are:

Rochdale by 6

Dewsbury by 2

North Wales Crusaders by 30

Oldham by 20

Hunslet by 16

Cornwall 16 v 26 Rochdale Hornets
Doncaster 24 v 22 Dewsbury Rams
North Wales Crusaders 38 v 4 London Skolars
Oldham 22 v 24 Midlands Hurricanes
Workington Town 16 v 22 Hunslet

Hoping Oldham take it easy, with 4th place secure, and Hurricanes finish with a bang, having next year's shirts to claim.

Can’t see Town winning, we haven’t beat any of the teams above us in the league this season.

I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally

Talk about dramatic finishes.

Cornwall couldn't have ended the season better!!!

5 wins, including 2 away and a heartland team in the last game to give their fans something to look forward to next year.

Oldham 10 - Hurricanes 18 FT

Good season end for the Hurricanes too. Two away wins against strong teams this season. They and Cornwall are agonisingly close to being competitive in League One. Shame that Skolars are as bad as they've been for years.

Assuming everybody makes the start line next year, and IMG/RFL don't move the goalposts, there'll be 10 teams in the league meaning, like today, 5 matches each week instead of a random number. But 18 games isn't enough. Can they not either play 27, or introduce the dreaded loop fixtures with "nearby" teams?

Based on current positions as an example:

Newcastle, Swinton, Doncaster, Oldham, Workington, Rochdale, Crusaders, Cornwall, Midlands, Skolars

Introducing 4 loop fixtures would mean 2 groups of 5 (yes, I know it means a bye week but one would be OK, surely) with 2 home games and a 22 game / 23 week regular season.

e.g.
Oldham, Rochdale, Swinton, Workington, Newcastle
Crusaders, Midlands, Cornwall, Skolars, Doncaster

Just an idea.
