I went to the 82 match, and got Chris Anderson’s tie up after going onto the pitch, which I wore until it fell apart. I had asked for his top.

I presume you mean Wigan match and not Leigh???

Leigh didn't play the Kangaroos in 78 or 68, so Leigh didn't like most other teams play the touring side up to and including 82. From the 63 to 82 tours inclusive Leigh played Australia twice out of five tours or 2 from 4 if you discount 82 due to being in Div. 2.

Just saying.

If you have different stats I stand to be corrected.

In 77/78 Leigh were in the 2nd division so no game for 78.  Leigh won the 2nd division championship and stayed in the first division until 84/85 when they were relegated. In 81/82 Leigh won the first division title. They did play Australia on the 82 tour and lost 4-44 at Hilton Park.

In my previous post I didn't check the 82 stat, I presumed you had it right, it appears you have the 78 and 82 tours crossed.

Sorry don't understand your last paragraph.

That's because what I posted isn't what I meant to say, it is not surprising you don't understand it as its gibberish.

I've removed it.

No, the Leigh game. I think Leigh were champions at the time?

Leigh were champions, but got hit with a 4-44 defeat, having won it 81/82 season.

Two tickets bought in the North Stand (old habits die hard)

Interesting (to me at least) to note that they’ve effectively built a standalone Ticketmaster site rather than using the usual DW platform or even RL Ticketing

Have you got a link to it?

Tickets flying out which is really good to see. I was planning on doing the usual Rugby League thing of waiting until a few days before but I've sorted our 6 seats out now because it's all reserved and the South Stand was getting pretty full aside from the outer blocks.

It should be a great night.

Got tix for the whole family.  We went to the GF (supporting Catalan) and my 6 year old has been obsessed with Wigan ever since. Not the plan at all!

At least he loves RL.

Sounds like a bright kid!

In all seriousness, great to hear he loves Rugby League.

Interesting the code with 5 Australians taking part four in Vegas (March 2nd) and the week before Wigan hosting Penrith (February 24th). Making a game for the world.
