There is still a big chunk of the season to and here we are again with players and agents looking for deals for next season. Surely this isn't a good look for our game.

Same as any sport.

Looks like Jayden Sullivan isn’t heading to Salford, I don’t think he was ever interested, just the tigers trying to offload him from his 500k contract. Good on him rejecting the offer.

Yeah, I don't see a problem in the slightest - some other sports make a huge thing of their transfer windows.

It's creating stories.

In what other sports are players and agents doing deals for the following season before half of the current season is reached?

Pretty much all professional sports I expect.

I'm assuming this is serious and you don't follow any other sport with transfers etc?

F1, Football, Rugby Union?

Transfers are some of the biggest stories in the game as we've seen this year. Simply playing games each week and having press conferences talking about the match is not enough - there needs to be a soap opera around the sport as well. I accept some people won't like that, but it's always been so.

It's why despite not agreeing with the likes of Beaumont too much, I enjoy debating and discussing much of what he bangs on about each week!

Football has transfer windows, we seem to have a free for all throughout the season.

Well, it isn't quite all a free for all, RL also has windows where clubs can speak with players, etc.

Football transfer windows are for sales, new contracts are arranged at any time. Kylian Mbappe and Lewis Hamilton both went into a season knowing they were joining another team at the end!

Once every transfer window ends, the rumours for the next transfer window start. It's a never-ending cycle in football

Transfers take place during windows in football, actual deals will be discussed and arranged throughout the year.

Second year in a row taking a former Leigh amateur player from Swinton after Brogan last year. As with Brogan I suspect this will be a longer term signing hoping he can develop but it at least adds a 3rd player to the ‘homegrown’ numbers in the squad which is important to the long term development of the club.

Nathan Brown back to the Giants to replace Watson....how's that for a curve ball? it was a rumour i was told today, doubt it has any substance though but would definitely be interesting if it did happen.
