Shocking.

Wigan should be setting standards on crowds.

Bit harsh.  I'd imagine that's a full house if 30% of them are female Wiganer's.

I do hope you don't mind me asking, but why should they?

Four legs good - two legs bad

If they’d have been lucky with injuries a squad of 25/26 would have covered it but they’ve not been lucky so far. Those 33 you mentioned probably included youth players having a run out late in the season.

No it didn't , we were fighting a relegation battle

They didn’t look in a mess to me, they looked short on numbers perhaps but spirit seems decent.
As for overpaying....they’re not overpaid- it’s the rest of RL that is underpaid.

But their numbers aren't going to get better and they are losing comfortably.

It's not, comparable to the market and cap they are overpaid, simple.

Smacks of poor long term planning to me.

And you didn’t play the kids when you were down? 33 seems ridiculously high otherwise.

No, virtually every player in RL is underpaid.

The DW  comes across poorly on TV. 10000 gate looks about5000.

I think it's cos it's single tier stands, the stands look huge, probably doesn't help that the crowd spreads out right across the stand. If the blocks at each end of each stand were closed off and the crowd was more contained towards the centre of the stand it would look a bit better.

Toronto look to have improved every week but have also lost players to injury every week. If they can keep everyone fit they will win one sooner or later.

That's not how Rugby League works you need a big squad, you will get injuries every game.

38 back in 2005 , it can easily happen in RL

Aren't Wigan one of the top clubs in the English league?

If they aren't aiming for these standards then they need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Lenagan stated they would increase once the Super 8's structure was changed.

This may have been around the same time Pearson stated the sport would match the other code;or similar.

Super League was going to show the way.Elstone was appointed...

Salford did alright last year. But yes they’ve no cap space to wheel and deal. I still think as long as they can keep the injury list short they will pick up a few wins. Maybe not enough to stay up though.

Sonny Bill Williams and Ricky Leuitele aren't, that's for sure.

The later is a great example, A marque spot on a centre who will be on far more money than Hastings.  Subsequently expecting the god awful McCrone to win them games ?

Think they will do better in (genuine) home games, wil be a slog for the other side.

Hopefully they have a playing squad left by then..

Latics do that, but it doesn’t look great to be honest.
