I don't like it much TBH.

I'm not religious, but I'd actually prefer it if it was just the day off for that and a chance for people to take a break from being RichardHeads on the internet.

Everything commercial that flows from Christmas is increasingly horrible. Trees, lights, tinsel, Santa, unnecessary presents, work Christmas parties, the Christmas24 movie channel, Christmas specials on telly.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

I’ve bought someone who has had a very bad time recently a gift voucher to privately walk alpacas with her partner around an estate near Derwent water.

They love alpacas, llamas etc and will be made up I feel, so I can’t wait to see their face.

I’m looking forward to that more than anything else this Christmas and of course a break from work.

PS

I have no idea if alpacas can swim.

I love Christmas, and especially this time, when I get to see my family for the first time in two years. We never really do much, just enjoy being in each others' company.

Merry Christmas !

You felt upbeat and with that in mind you came onto a forum for Rugby League's sunshine seekers and eternal optimists!

Christmas is ok for those outside the heartlands. We should focus on developing our own festival, focussing mainly on moaning old farts.

I've had the politics with the ex over the boys. She said I "agreed" to not having them for Xmas dinner. It left my mum dad and partner hanging on. I thought can I have them Xmas Eve pls. She says yes. Then I go down to collect the boys yesterday she says can she have them Xmas Eve too cos she's bought them new pajamas!!! Plus she said she'd be lonely. Errmmm if I didn't have them I'd be lonely aswell lol. You have to smile. 🤣🤣🤣

Sending much love to my fellow TRLers. Anyone struggling or down pm me pls.

Then it'll soon be RL season where we can slate Cats for not having enough French, Cornwall will never work, Fev are a joke, Beaumont's a toolbag and Futtocks being hot off the press with his celeb deaths.

Take care.

Just celebrated Christmas with wife, her Mum and Granny. Because they do it early here.

Actually, really nice.

decided to quit drinking at the end of nov - done 25 days straight now- tonight with friends in the pub was a big test but 4 bottles of 0% lager and an early exit home all's ok- tomorrow with the family all day will be an even bigger test - cos of my lifestyle with gigs and a big circle of friends etc everything seems to revolve around alcohol week in week out  - pubs- clubs- parties - round each others houses-etc  so decided to jump straight in at the deep end and use xmas to do this
