Bang on average then.  Meh.  Need to get more neutrals to go….somehow.

Meh...... for a 62000 crowd just a few weeks after the CC final ( which has 1000s of neutrals attending) - you take some pleasing lad.

Pretty much zero growth for the last 5…6…7….8 years?  30,000 seats unsold, need to advertise more and get more locals and neutrals to give it a go.

Holding at St James Park in recent years probably has helped The Thunder get new fans , but the stadium is too big, it doesn't look great on TV. How about moving it a bit further south , give the Hurricanes a bit of help, Villa Park is more suitable size,  plenty of room for fans plus leeway for any newbies.

And in a period where people are struggling for disposable income, being nearly 3000 up on the last one is pretty good.

For me it makes no sense to now have a team in Newcastle and not have them play there. With two French teams I thought it was a no brainer.  10000 in carcassone 9pm sat france.  Middle or last game sunday Newcastle.

If we do lock in the French clubs you could jump between Newcastle and Sheffield and move third French derby around the south.

Magic weekend in Sheffield,behave.

We need to keep it at St James Park for the next 2 or 3 years at least to underpin our game there, or Newcastle get into Super League.

How many new fans to the game and players would we get by playing the MW is Sheffield for say 5 years and the same goes for playing the MW is the West Midlands?

Without a doubt we need new fans to the game and we need players from new areas as well. New fans and players from outside the heartlands might attract new sponsors as well

How many people from Newcastle would go to watch Thunder though? No more than travel from St Helens or Hull I’d wager. The crowd tbf is good, what regional minority sport in Europe could get 62k in over 2 days?

St.Helens v Wigan had the biggest crowd and atmosphere but not a big fan of magic weekend but rather have a end of season or August Bank Holiday 9's involving Championship and League 1 teams as well.

9s isn’t rugby league.

Could possibly get a few more speccies if the RFL didn’t put Championship and League one games as well as a full NCL programme on the same weekend

Why should the rest of the game grind to a halt? Its not like its a final or an international, its just another round of league games.
