I'm hardly defending them.. you selectively quoted but in the post you replied to first I've said I'd like to hear more from them and that they have been very quiet. But I can also understand why they are not wanting to, right now, over shadow what is happening.. iMG, the RFL and RL comm have been too quite I would have liked a bit more.. but it's not the biggest crime in the world.. The article thought was poor and just rehashed old ground with nothing worthwhile to add to the conversation
Trojan Horse Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 (edited) Well done IMG. Best final attendance in 7 years. Positive early signs! Edited October 13, 2024 by Trojan Horse 1 5

Not sure this system promotes stability. At least under P&R all 12 SL clubs know which league they’ll be playing in next year by now. 5

The Blues Ox Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 We just have to pray that it is really close between 11th-14th and it should make for quite an interesting off season. 1

Ah yes, the covid season and Toronto's collapse was a classic state of stability. 3 hours ago, Trojan Horse said: However it was in the IMG era that they achieved this. Looks like Bradford have acknowledged they won't make it this year which is a tad disappointing. However we still have the Toulouse conundrum to look forward to. If they make it then there's going to be tantrums elsewhere. If they don't, will they be in the championship next season? With London's future currently up in the air to lose one club would be unfortunate, to lose two would be careless. Its going to be so exciting. 3 Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

Hopie Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 I wonder how Hunslet's IMG score went up, and how it went down after their promotion.

Their performance score will go up noticeably given they've now jumped quite a lot of places from last year. The rest I doubt will have changed much. 1

In any case, why would they expose themselves to "have you stopped beating your wife"- style questions from a claque of professional northerners determined to oppose and find fault with everything except "faux fur ", especially as the whole plan has been laid out in plain sight for everyone to see? Let 'em get on wi' t' job. What exactly are they getting on with though? This could be explained on the podcast. 1

For example. https://www.superleague.co.uk/article/3094/reimagining-rugby-league-–-img-present-recommendations Plus this. ...IMG's vision to 'reimagine' rugby league in England and beyond will start to be realised in 2025 when its controversial 'grading' system comes into play... Of course, there are those neutrals and independently minded individuals (not of course in any way obsessed by their doubts) who need to know what brand of corn flakes IMG people have for breakfast and what time they have their morning break at RL Commercial, but that is not relevant. The whole thing is well documented for all to see. 1 Bernard Manning lives! Welcome to be New RFL, the sport's answer to the Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club.

Well two things with that Gav, it was Covid year when it was a truncated season and not all clubs played the same amount of games, and secondly IMG were nowhere near the game. Jeez, talk about scraping barrel for 'pat's on the back' 1

In a couple of weeks, the Labour government will be presenting a budget which will be 'well documented' for everyone to read, will it stop at that or will questions be asked as to why and how? I should imagine the vast number of followers of Labour, will nod their head in agreement and just accept it, but others who are doubtful of the process will quite rightly require an explanation, do you get it? The rest I doubt will have changed much. It can't 'go up noticeably' as it's a 3-year average. Their score last season would have been based on finishing 6th, 7th and 2nd. This year will be 7th, 2nd and play-off winner. Taking into account their play-off results, I reckon they move from 32 (0.4571) to 31 (0.5714) which is an increase of 0.1143.
