Told ya there was stuff going on.

Ha, yes you did. Beaumont did actually reference something about a current issue with an agent in one of his q&a videos. But I didn’t have the same level of commitment to dig out the post as you have shown.

That said, his agent has only tried to activate the clause in the last few weeks, after this exchange

Does Mickey Mac signing for Hull KR signal a change in playing style for the Robins?

Their strength imo is the ruck speed generated by Litten and Parcell at hooker but McIlorum does not have that in his game. Also I cant see him coming across to start on the bench. Interesting signing!

Agree, I think McIllorum is still a good player with plenty to offer, but I don't know if he's a good fit for Rovers.

Edit: this is a 2024 story, not a 2025 one.

Have KR got rid of Litten for next season?

They're bringing in McIlorum, and they're bringing in someone who has been proclaimed on this forum to be the best young hooker in the world.

Parcell likely retiring and Butterworth released. A straight up 2 out 2 in at hooker as far as I can see?

Trueman out, Lam in is the rumour. I'm a little bit torn. Trueman has struggled a bit since his most recent injury but we are starting to see glimpses of what a quality player he can be.

Great player, been so unlucky with injuries. 3 season ending injuries in a row the last 3 seasons.

Hasn’t got injured yet this season and his been playing consistently for Manly’s NSW cup team. Fingers crossed all goes well at Leigh.

Oh it seems like this is an immediate release…

The Leigh situation with Lachlan Lam is such that albeit his dad will not move one-way or the other with telling the Leigh fans what exactly is going, if Lam Junior is happy to leave the club to another SL club and we have not heard anything from him otherwise, then in my opinion get rid and get the transfer money for his contract, we are best without someone who does not want to be at the club.

As for family ties, I will reserve judgement on that.

The dispute is all about whether Leigh will be due a transfer fee if Lam were to join another Super League club. Lam’s argument is that he is effectively out of contract

It must be doing the dressing room a world of good having this situation, if what you say is true re Lam's stance and I have no reason to doubt you Higgy, then as I suggest get shut and the sooner the better.

I wonder if his dad will follow him out of the door? and Mr. B must be feeling very uneasy also.

Couldn’t agree more, this kind of thing never ends well and causes unrest and disharmony in the dressing room.

Agree with all the above.

It's very regrettable that Lam Junior or his agent(allegedly in there) has chosen this path.

Money is the root of so many evils and this situation is no different. The other players in the dressing room will have their own private views but it's not healthy in the short term.

As I said last week get rid...This if not managed with turn a simmer into a boil.

Lam Snr needs to show leadership as well as respect for the fans and give clarity on the situation. It's a fundamental requirement to inform the fans, If nothing else to stop "us" for unevidenced speculation.

Get rid move on and look at the ones who want to help Leigh...

That's my measured response. Pointless throwing rocks at other teams as that only divides everyone.

One thing though is these contracts are as thin as the Turin shroud.

No, it won't help, hopefully it doesn't hinder. Personally I think there's a case of the player thinking he needs to move to further enhance his reputation, as his jon may get more difficult next year without Asiata and O'Donnell either side of him. Not sure his dad will feel they have to be tethered together, but my big concern is that if we have messed up Lachlan Lam's contract, what does that mean for Pene, Armstrong and Lam Snr's contracts?
