Maika Sivo is reportedly joining Leeds. Good siging for Leeds, hasn’t had the greatest year but is an elite winger on his day and finishes 99% of 1 on 1 situations in the corner. I wonder if Handley will be moving in to the centres next season

I was convinced of his retirement when Mr B stated he thought he would retire, in fact it seemed to me like he was hoping he would retire and this was a little nudge in that direction, so we have got a 'marquee' off the wage bill but have we got a replacement already lined up is the interesting part.

Yep Mr Lam is going to have be at the top of his game to gel so many newbies together quickly, we can't afford his usual - when talking about imports from down under - it will take at least 10 games for them to find their feet in SL.

Sivo would be the next Ryan Hall in SL with his size and strength, so one on each wing at Leeds.

Maybe. Only really has the strength of Hall though, not really the skill or speed. Very solid player though, will score every opportunity from close range. He does make a fair few mistakes though and isn’t too great defensively. That being said he still scored 17 tries in 12 games this year along with 54 tackle breaks. Will be a very exciting player to watch in SL next year.

Sivo is one of those players that should rip it up in SL. He is also one of those players that may not come with the right attitude and may be a complete flop.

He's another rocks and diamonds player that's for sure. Not someone you'd want to build a team around. And Leeds already have a rocks and diamonds player at FB

Miller has been excellent since BA came in, he seems to have got rid of the rocks

Like the honesty from Blease, I had heard him and his wife were homesick aswell which probably made the process a little easier.

I'm struggling to fit all the statements over the months and years together, often "hands are tied" because certain players are already under contract and you have to shuffle what is left under the cap, but here we have a player under contract who has been released/sacked?

Sivo has scored 106 trys in 114 NRL appearances, we've added two big bodies in the front row and Ryan Hall is SL all time best try scorer.

Sivo, like Hall is past his best. They have turning circles like oil tankers. Certainly no better than Fusitu'a (when fit)

The when fit is quite a large caveat with fusitua

the two Front rowers are more than marginal improvements on Goudemand and Sangare.

I originally misread that as Blease & his wife being homesick. I know the M62 is bad but..

Goudemand rarely played so the replacements are in effect for Sangare and Martin. Palasia is more acquainted to second row although I expect he’ll play prop more for us. Marginal improvements

He scored 17 in 12 appearances this season in the 3rd worst team in the NRL, that's not bad going.

Sivo could be great for us. Against some edge defences he will be incredibly destructive. I suspect Hall will be getting a good run too. The forward signings have been somewhat underwhelming, but perhaps there is more that can be done there in the near future.

I'm more positive around the club right now. I think Arthur will get more out of our existing players anyway than Smith did. On a simple level that will increase the level of competitiveness from the squad.

Goal kicking will be important so I hope we're confident who is going to take over that role.

A winger is only as good as the service he gets. Are you playing him outside Newman? He might not be seeing that much ball if so.
