LeytherRob Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I had no idea Joe Bullock was 31. Salford are going to have a big rebuild on their hands in the next 12-18 months as by my reckoning their starting 13 will have an average age over 31 by the end of next season. Squads like that have a habit of all breaking down at once if you don't get a lot of luck in terms of injuries.

Salford appear to be in very good hands off the pitch with the stadium deal and Rowley staying beyond next year, a rebuild should be quite a seamless one in 2 years time given the club's progress, off the pitch as well as on it. 1
kiggy Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Out with the old, in with the new. Sorry to see H leave, maybe one season too much but he managed to get to the end without injury. He seems to have been around for decades. https://www.loverugbyleague.com/post/two-time-super-league-winner-bids-farewell-to-high-flying-championship-club However: new kid on the block, another youngster from the TO academy has signed a professional contract for next season: https://www.to13.com/a-la-une/premier-contrat-professionnel-pour-baptiste-rodriguez/ 3

Quality middle foward, 22 years old arguably the best player in the Toulouse 2nd team. Very deserving of a first team call up. 1

He was on the team sheet a couple of times last season and played I think. H has gone to Pia I'm hearing reports that Guy Armitage has also left the club. I liked him, he was a very personable chap, very approachable. I wonder if he also will stay in France. 1

There’s a lot to prove yet off the pitch for Salford. There’s last two years running have seen handouts and player sales along with a share scheme to keep the club running. This along with special measures. Without a generous council keeping the boogey man at bay and a couple of shrewd player movements Salford could be in a dire situation. I still see them as being on a knifes edge. Hopefully we look back in 12 months time and they are in a better place off the pitch. Let’s hope this stadium deal can plug the shortfall. It’s early days but let’s hope the hands are as they appear. As for Bullock. Saw him a few years ago have a couple decent games but a player than never seemingly reached near his potential over the years. A move for him would be good. Edited November 1 by Trojan Horse 1

The Art of Hand and Foot Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Multiple reports that josh drinkwater has signed for the Roughyeds! No confirmation yet from either party. Would be a fantastic signing if true!

If he can stay injury free he will do well. Strange that he went to the UK though, I thought he would stay in France given his history and that his brothers are still here. I thought he might go back to 15's with his brother Steffon who was at Nice recently but has moved on to CO Berre.

Would certainly bring some pace and the average age down, we still need a centre, prop and back row.

You acquire a lease at a rediculous price to gain IMG points and then plead fans and sponsors to help pay towards it but will do nothing to upgrade it for the fans.
Tommygilf Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Croft (or at least his management) apparently wanting a move out of Leeds to replace Ben Hunt in the NRL.

Given how many players have been announced already, on top of players from last year not on the confirmed departures list (Wilde, Rothwell, Brand, Derbyshire) I doubt we’ll get anyone beyond a replacement for Moylan sadly

I can say that Luis Roberts won't be one of those yet to be named.
