Yeah I’m really happy with this signing, the kind of player we’d have been in for but lost out in years gone by. I seem to remember him playing a blinder in the CC QF at York including a brilliant assist where he jumped from the field of play to catch and pass inside from a kick. 

I imagine the club will see him as the successor to Josh Charnley.

Amone and O'Donnell in particular will need some replacing, looking forward to watching how they go in the NRL next year, different teams different coaches different tactics different teammates and of course different oppositions.

Another signed from the amateur game by Swinton and going onto SL. Always gave 100% and a real crowd favorite at Swinton

Aye, signed from Leigh Miners you could say he is coming home, hopefully this will be a thing of the past with Leigh now being 'allowed' an academy.

Apparently I heard there was a spat at Leigh Miners very recently when representatives from Leigh signed three Miners lads only for the Wigan reps to confront them and said they had their eye on those players and were going to offer them terms, times are a changing when Wigan, Saints and Wire had free reign with Leigh lads, now the lads home town club has a presence it will make a difference to proceedings.

The Leigh amateur scene has been a fertile ground for us these last 5 years with both Frankie Halton and Louis Brogan being signed by us before moving onto bigger things

He’s in OZ playing for PNG telling the Aussie press he’d be happy to talk to NRL clubs about coming back to the best competition, he did say he’s enjoying life in Salford.

Not sure if too much is being made of that MacDonald interview to be honest. When NRL.com ask him if he would be open to a move back, he's hardly going to say no is he? Not even been any mention of an NRL club even being interested in him

His wording (if reported correctly) is a bit off, he should really have just said he’s happy and contracted at Salford not Im ‘ready’ to return.

Yes it very much came off as a ‘come get me’ plea to NRL clubs. Whether they do or not considering he’s 30 is another matter.

Matt Moylan retirement confirmed. Guess Leigh will have 5 players joining from Oz at the same time now. Not convinced that's a good thing to be honest.
