Another move maybe on the horizon.

I think it's more likely that all of Wimbledon, Rosslyn Park and Ebbsfleet are at home on March 1st, and they needed to find somewhere at relatively short notice.

agreed. Eccles has made it clear that he believes Wimbledon is key to any Broncos return to SL.

Whilst I appreciate the decision to play the Dewsbury match at New a river may have been last minute, it is at least an opportunity for Skolars to reach out to ex fans and remind them they still exist and hopefully have a competitive squad.

Merton and SW London boroughs are the only ones experiencing growth in pupil numbers in a report published this week. They have to keep reaching out to schools as you know.

How many in attendance?

You are asking a lot.  You basically need to hire a private detective these days to find attendance figures, sometimes even for SL matches.

And Mike Eccles does it again, I know it is a team effort and no doubt all played their part but really, on paper, this shouldn’t have happened. Well done to everyone at the Broncos, and I will say it again, just imagine what he could do if he had a bit of cash to play with to give some depth to the squad and bring in a couple of more experienced players, that is not taking anything away from the guys who went out there and did the job. This is what Rugby League is about.

League Express quotes 800, but I have my doubts as to how reliable that is. Has the air of someone at London inventing a figure.

I've seen two different estimates on social media - one of 1750, the other of 1700-1800.

If they really did sell more season tickets than last year, then surely your quoted numbers must be close.

1750 would mean a pretty full stand (only one open). It looked busy but nothing like 80% of capacity.

London's crowds have an air of invention about them, however, so who knows what they'll land on.

The start of this video shows the stand in its entirety.  It's pretty damning, looks sub-1000 to me.

Regarding the match, the fact Featherstone score in the first minute of the match, makes the result for London even more impressive!

Well done to London, a great result. A bad one for us though. Eccles does seem to work miracles down there, especially after the recent defeat to Goole.

Having said that it wasn't exactly the same team as against Goole, but fair play to London, fully deserved.

It wasn't that different, we don't have that many players.

There were 7 changes from the broncos 17 that took the field against Goole

"Out of the way, son. Where's my medal?" Alex Murphy's immortal words as David Hobbs scores his 2nd try in the '83 Cup Final!

There was an issue with season tickets at the turnstiles and the guy was counting in using mobile phone there was definitely more than 800 think the 1700 about right.

Interesting that you think there were 1,700 or so there. The only open stand, across from the camera on the video of the highlights shows that there  were between 500 and 600 in their seats at KO, so unless the "Gold Lounge" was rammed to the rafters, I would go with the 800 quoted and take it. I am not saying you are wrong, just saying that Bucks Fizz were right in 1982 🙂

Bucks Fizz were probably more right in 1981.
