sam4731 Posted November 1 Posted November 1 (edited) I was thinking about Taylor Swifts impact on the populatity of the NFL with her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce and it got me to thinking what rugby player has brought in the most fans as a result of their relationship. I can really only think of Jon Wilkin and Fran Halsall. Fran used to get RL questions on QoS because of Jon. Also, which rugby player could we put with someone to generate interest in TGG if you had cupids arrow? Edited November 1 by sam4731

Hopie Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Someone married Jon Wilkin? Wow. Most famous Rugby league "WAGs" in my mind would be Helen Skelton and Heather Small. 1 1

Georgia Stanway and Olly Ashall-Bott featured in OK magazine and pretty much all the national newspapers back when England won the Euros in 2022. 3

I can honestly say I don't know who that Rugby player is, and I only know there is a footballer in that couple because you said they were one.

I wonder if there'll be a name change: Georgina Hetherington-Dagger has a lovely ring to it! 1
Harry Stottle Posted November 1 Posted November 1 What a great thread for the agony aunts of TRL Forums to get stuck into. Each to their own.

I’ve never even heard of Heather Small. Edit - just googled and of course I know who she is, I had no idea she was seeing and has a kid with Shaun Edwards though. Edited November 1 by Eddie 2

Hopie Posted November 1 Posted November 1 If Rugby League players want to increase their fame and recognition in this country they need to follow the established path, and become Rugby Union coaches. 4

Do you imagine people who had no interest in gridiron have become NFL fans because they like Taylor Swift? 1
