Anna Maxwell Martin looks like She has walked off with the BAFTA for Her role in ITV`s Wait Until I Kill You  . Can`t think of anyone who could have come close to that performance .

Agree , stellar performance from Anna , I would urge you to watch on ITVX if you have not yet caught this series , she does the voiceover too in tonights story of the real Amelia Balmer , ITV 2100.

Completely agree, a mesmerising performance from Anna. The best series I’ve watched for years and based on a true event makes it even more compelling.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Still can’t believe it’s Colin Farrell under that makeup

Say Nothing on the Disney + channel, uncomfortable viewing seems mad that all this was going on so close to home, know quite a few lads who served in Northern Ireland over the years, must have been horrific on all sides

I don't know if it's due to the run up to Christmas, but as I was saying on a different thread, loads of people seem to be putting trees covered in lights up in their living room windows, don't know what that's all about...

Newsflash! Talking Pictures TV have launched an Amazon Fire TV app for their Encore catch-up service.

Much better than using the old website (although they say they've improved that too). Search for "TPTV" rather than the full name.

Imagine showing that post to someone who was alive 100 years ago.

Their brain would explode.

I've officially lost faith in human society. It is frustrating just how much American media and culture penatrates into everyday British society. Mrs Goose was watching 'Strictly: It Takes Two' yesterday. The show started, the titles played and the very first thing the presenter said, the very first thing before any other word was spoken was, "happy thanksgiving". We don't celebrate that foreign holiday in Britain!!

And why when people reference foreign culture in things is it only ever American culture?! It's like on BBC quiz shows, especially Pointless, when 9 out of 10 geography and politics questions are American-based. Why not do a question on German states? Why not do a question on French presidents? Why is everything always America?!!

Sorry for the rant, just something that really irritates me.

Can you imagine the outrage if they said happy Diwali.

I'm currently re-watching the 2001-2002 Nero Wolfe Tv adaptations, starring Maury Chaykin and Timothy Hutton. I'm not normally into detective shows, but this one really charmed me with wit and style.

I just sat through s01e09 Christmas Party with the awful accents of two guest actors (thankfully, they did not return in other episodes) and still found enough to enjoy, although I'm glad to have got past it.

Here's the feature-length first story, if you're interested.

I'd be fine with them doing that as well because there are far, far more people living in Britain that observe Diwali. South Asian festivals are a part of British culture.

I think one reason American culture penetrating into our society bothers me so much is because our children are taking it all in when they are young and naive and think because they've had it shoved down their throats so much that it is a part of their society and so exclude themselves from their actual society.

I'm nearly 50.

This was being said when I was young.

It wasn't true then either.

Cultures change. Diwali was sure as heck not accepted as part of British culture in 1982.
