NRL probably already drafting a proposal that the Australians get fast tracked and only fly over for the semi finals stage, to take place 2 weeks after the NRL GF, with their opponents playing their Quater Final the day before. Otherwise, the integrity of the NRL Christmas party will be severely imperilled. 4
Scubby
Could see tens of thousands of UK fans going over to France if it was staged there.
Hela Wigmen
Good luck to them, hope it’s over there. They’re noises from France the past twelve months have been very positive, long may it continue and let’s hope it wakes up the Rugby Football League Working Men’s Club committee. Man of Kent
Not sure anywhere else is going for it so surely the RLWC is ‘coming home’. Edited July 8, 2021 by Man of Kent

ShropshireBull
Think it is four years too early but screw it. Should put a fire under the RFL to help French RL grow and be a success.

Apparently, the first rugby world cup, in France in 1954, only went ahead after the Aussies received assurances about their travel costs being met by the hosts. Perhaps they will try this again this year and also in 2025, in which case we English speakers have a phrase for it - 'deja vu'! 1

Odsal Outlaw
Fantastic news. Agree with the post above that it’s maybe 4 years too early but it’s great to see a ‘new’ place bid for it to stop the Aus/Eng cycle. 3 Nottingham Outlaws Rugby League Harry Jepson Winners 2008 RLC Midlands Premier Champions 2006 & 2008 East Midlands Challenge Cup Winners 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 Rotterdam International 9's Cup Winners 2005 RLC North Midlands Champions 2003 & 2004

White Chevron on Blue
Great news but we would have to ensure that France wouldn't be embarrassed by a strong qualifying group and failed to qualify.
Mumby Magic
Let them solely have it. Have England play it in a few expansion/potential places. Marseille etc. 2 Like poor jokes? Thejoketeller@mullymessiah

Easy, put them in a group with the Aussies and schedule the game for mid-November. Vingt quatre - zéro 1
