That’s nothing to do with refs call that’s just a bad decision by the VR. French is barely impeded and he’s never in a position to affect the play.

Without the refs call he says that's fine. He highlights the refs call loads of times. It's that that confuses it. It's nonsense.

No wonder the mods have trouble with people commenting about refereeing after seeing that.

another perfectly good try ruled out by pathetic padantic microscopic obstuction rules ruining the game

Obstruction is like pregnancy, neither can be a little bit.

We all know there was no actual obstruction. My issue is with the way the VR hid under the on field decision like a frightened lamb under a ewe.

It was a bit nauseating wasn't it?

He couldn't stop repeating it to put the decision firmly in the hands of Liam Moore.

The video ref obviously used the refs call as a cop out when it was pretty conclusive that the refs call should have been overturned. The video ref bottled it pure and simple

Agreed. The on field decision just isn't needed in the slightest.

It’s not nonsense it’s required when there is genuinely a 50/50 decision that the cameras can’t clear up. Having the decision the ref would make in real time is the fairest way. This is just a weak decision by the VR when the footage is clearly there to over turn it.

We managed for years without it. It hasn't cleared anythibg up, it's caused far more controversy than any benefit.

sooner or later a decision like that will decide the outcome of a GF and a whole season will be ruined

Yes because never in the history of the game has there been controversial decisions in finals.
