Not really a transfer but well worth a mention that Ollie Pratt has agreed a new three year contract with Trinity.  Really pleased with that.

As a local product (Heworth) he was great on loan for York in our end-of season run, contributing  breaks and tries, and seemingly getting stronger physically with every game. Hope he goes well for Trin (except against us!)

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Three year deal too.  Good signing for Donny that.

Eagles have signed Mitch Clark

A bit of a meh signing sorry to say for me...

He was great for us; the real deal.

Been back several times with different oponents; never looked anything like the real deal.

Think Mitch has struggled massively with injuries over the last couple of seasons. Really rated him when he came to Donny, but, if he can get fully fit, then hes potential to be a really good signing.

Smithies will go well in the NRL. His game and style is well suited for it.

Agreed.

A solid performer who still has a lot of growth left in his game. He won't tear any opposition apart but he will do the job you ask him to do.

Harry thinks it's funny, but he's a Leigh fan so what would he know about elite players?

exactly what Canberra need, they've been struggling at 13 this year without Elliott. Horsbrough is a front rower, so a genuine 13 coming in Smithies, who will play the full 80 and defend for days is a great addition. A top 13 in world rugby league right now.

How has he gone for Wakey in the last year?  IMO Reece is still SL standard - unless there are long standing injury issues that you know of?

He missed quite a bit of both 2022 and 2023.  13 and 15 games played iirc

Not what he was, most notably a loss of pace, lots of injuries, but still has some game time left. I don't think any SL club would offer him a three year deal, that was probably the clincher. Think he will go well for you, certainly a decent defender.

Warrington Half Back Riley Dean signing for North Queensland Cowboys.  Will play for one of their feeder club's.

Interesting that, Jake Rourke a young Cowboys halfback has just left them to join Limoux in Elite 1, so maybe a replacement.
