They've been around for 10-15 years. Aussie ex-pats in "that London" started it, hence the "Hill's Hoist". The first patent for something like the Hils Hoist was applied for in er.. 1895! The Hill version came along after WW2.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Wests Warriors vs Hammersmith Hill Hoists for a place in the 4th round would be pretty epic.

Widnes v Wests last year was quite the love-in - pennants & the like exchanged beforehand (and still on display at Widnes), standing ovation for the Wests players and travelling support at the end, plus an impromptu haka in the stand. Would be great if they were to get the chance to play a SL club.

The Hills Hoist: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hills_Hoist - an Australian design icon. The opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics featured giant roaming Hills Hoist robots.

10 v 11 (or vice versa) might cause the BBC results page a few issues.

They don't tend to need too much of a challenge to get things wrong.

Marvellous.  Looking forward to that.

Replay of the SC grand final last year that Hammersmith won.
