Thanks Harry, 9221 isn’t too bad. I think the target should be to break 10000 next season. The extra seating at Hull KR, Hull having a stronger squad and Wakefield replacing London should hopefully lift the average next season

Boosted in the last two seasons with HKR and Leigh e.g. Leigh were in the Championship in '22 so recorded nothing , in 2023 averaged 7250, 2024 8300 that is 15,500 x 13 that's over 200K to add to the total.

Leigh and Hull KR have been the success stories this season both on and off the pitch. Hopefully the other SL clubs can show the same kind of improvements as those two clubs

Saints offer nothing on & off the pitch, a good start would be to get rid of the head coach. He seems to be getting more crazier after each game.

Any ideas if we are getting a big crowd at Warrington? I think Saints have sold about 2000 tickets.

Doesn’t look like it…

According to rugbyleagueontv, the game between Salford and Leigh is at Leigh. A packed house to watch the grass grow. Sounds like Wendyball at Old Trafford.

What has changed this year to make the play-offs such a hot ticket? It seems likely that all 4 games will see big crowds.

Not sure but it’s good to see. This is one thing that improve Rugby League’s profile. The WCC, the CC final, the play offs and GF all getting big crowds and coverage. Throw in some well attended internationals and Magic Weekend and RL starts to look like a decent spectator sport

You couldn't repeat that as I missed what you were saying.

That's an odd interaction. The Matt Shaw article states that club sources say that tickets are limited, then one bloke has a quick look on the ticket site and decides they're not.

I suspect we are looking at the 11-12k mark. Probably well short of a sellout but we haven't got near one of those for years.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

In most cases "limited availability" is code for "please buy a ticket".

Unfortunately whilst it may pump the FOMO for some, it also puts others off to think there is scarcity. How else would so many examples of high demand for tickets in the lead up, end up with empty spaces on match day?

Hope we do get up to the 12k mark. Would be a belting occasion on a Saturday evening…

A lot depends on who's at home and the match ups. I do think the smaller clubs, for want of a better word, outperform the bigger clubs and get more people on board when it comes to these knockout matches. I think apathy comes into it more with fans of bigger clubs and these matches are taken for granted, fans of smaller clubs not so as much.

It's a fan site .. What point are you trying to make again?

And I suspect it would probably beat the equivalent 2016 figure if Saints were 4th having finished just a couple of points below and playing well.   But it hasn't been very encouraging for their fans recently.
