Thompson for me. I think he had a 5 minute rest in the 80.

I get annoyed with Australian commentators in their Grand Final saying how wonderful the game is despite the errors and kicking the ball out on the full.

I get equally annoyed with a commentator today saying that the game hasn't lived up to expectations despite an almost perfect display from Wigan.

It's been quite a dull watch with one brilliant bit of play to win it and some brilliant defensive solidity by Wigan. Wigan fans are entitled to enjoy it of course; the commentators don't have to say it has been exciting.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Wigan 9:2 Hull KR at the final hooter. Great performance.

Well done Pies. Ruthlessly efficient again. Very tough to beat. Great season.

This Grand Final kind of reminds me of the 2020 NRL GF, where Penrith couldn't score against Melbourne. French and Papenhuyzen added dashes of speed and elusiveness.

I think's KR's intensity and cohesiveness is there, but they can't break down the team with more star power and experience.

I don't think KR have been as bad as most on here think. They've just focused on the grind and Wigan were able to hold them out. Wigan have the sparkle that can crack the game open from anywhere.

Congratulations Wigan, one cannot dislike Matty Peet.

Their first back-to-back SL championship. A four trophy season.

Dave Woods was clearly expecting a Wigan victory, his narrative has been on that basis.

Wigan were clear favourites, not sure why the criticism for Mikey Lewis continues on this board, if he doesn't win it on his own he is marked down for a bad game.

He did win MoS.. People expect high quality performances, not just "good".

Job well done by Wigan there. Always felt in control and confident. Suffocated KR.

Commiserations to KR, not the first to falter on the biggest stage.

Congratulations to Wigan. They must now be 'in the conversation' as one of the all-time great sides.

That was a deathly final in the end, though. Close because Wigan could keep what they needed in reserve and Hull KR played like a team who hadn't had any new thoughts during the week.

Yeah, I don't think that gives Wigan's defence the credit it deserves. Incredibly difficult to find a gap - barely a missed tackle, brilliant movement and reads of the attack across the field.

Shame , I’d like to see them play Panthers again

It's fine. It will let Penrith say they are the best team in the world.

Thought KR matched Wigan’s go-forward, and they created a few 3v2s but they couldn’t quite ice them. A bit more composure and they might have jagged it.

KR never seemed to do anything remotely unexpected.

That could be because Wigan are mindreaders (or, at least, very well prepped), or it could be because Hull KR were predictable. Probably a bit of both.

I actually really enjoyed it, I prefer tight games where defences make it really difficult for teams to score. The Wigan defence was top class - every time I see them they look like a very well coached outfit and Matty Peet deserves all the credit he gets. It would have been nice to see a new winner but the better team won.

Plenty of big performers who could get the Harry Sunderland/Rob Burrow Medal.

French for his big moments, Smith for running the game and opening the ball up at the right moments, Thompson for a massive forward stint, Havard for tackling everything, Keighran for a centre display of class and solidness.

I think I'd probably go for HARRY SMITH. I thought he kicked wonderfully and was judicious in going wider. I thought he was at the centre of an all-round performance.

French definitely had the big moments, so I can understand him getting it. The twinkle-toes for his try were fantastic and provided a highlight reel moment of individual brilliance.

Congrats to Wigan; commiserations to KR. I thought it was a good, tight game, with Wigan's class being the difference.

Quite an interesting parallel between the NRL Grand Final and today.

Jahrome Hughes went into the NRL Grand Final as Dally M player of the year and Clearly was part of a suffocating Penrith performance.

Today, Lewis goes into the Grand Final as the Man of Steel and Smith is part of a suffocating Wigan performance.

Same here. Give me a hard physical contest every day of the week.
