Well calling out everyone in the RL community its time to say farewell to two of the greats in modern age RL of course I'm taking about Luke Gale & Jamaine McGilveray. Here's your chance to say goodbye and also not to mention Matty Ashurst who in 10 years as been outstanding on & off the pitch. Should be a great occasion with hopefully a packed out Belle Vue to see the mighty Trin return to SL.

A few tickets remain in west terrace only.

Be there!!

Up the Trin ⚜️ 💪

Skybet giving Toulouse 16 start or you can get 4/1 for a Toulouse win.

Both those seem crazy odds and that 4/1 looks well worth a gamble.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

I'm very nervous about this one. Do I think Wakefield will win? Yes.  (I selected 13+ points in the poll). Am I reassured by those Skybet odds? Not in the slightest!!

Youtube tells you exactly how many people are watching at any given moment under the picture.

Should be an interesting game. Wakefield have clearly been the best team in the comp with a lot to spare this year and it's possible will overpower Toulouse with strength and speed down the middle, but if Toulouse can avoid being physically overwhelmed and somehow bring their home form to an away game they have the talent to make a game of it.

Really though the key for Trinity will be to avoid turning the ball over too much, every time I've seen them they seem to make far more handling errors than you'd expect for a team that tends to win the arm wrestle comfortably in most games, and last week against York, I thought they dodged a bullet to an extent - Wakefield completely dominated the first half in terms of territory but were still behind at the half and I thought York were the better team in the second half and looked to have a very good chance of causing an upset until that high kick which they let bounce with disastrous consequences for them.

Torrential rain in Wakey last night and Wakey dont like it wet as you know too well 😉. Lets hope the BV pitch has handled the rain well , because if this game had been at Fev I would not have fancied our chances.

Its brightening up now and forecast for the rest of this afternoon and this evening is sunshine,no more rain.

Pitch should be fine, i hope!

Think Wakey will win. That scare against York was exactly what they needed.

Having said that Powell's record in finals isn't the best (to put it mildly)

I know the world has moved on but I seem to remember the Fev/Wakefield promotion game in 1998 being broadcast on Sky Sports?

And last years wasn't.

Not sure what you're referring to here, my abiding memory of watching Fev this season is of Gaz Gale leaving Trinity defenders and a trail of dust behind him as he scorched 60m across the verdant pastures of a sun-kissed Post Office Road to score the game-winning try.

Yes - and there was 25 years between those games. It's a shame that the game isn't being shown anywhere except a minor channel, when in the past it would have caught a decent number of casual sports viewers. As I say, the world has moved on but it's not really beneficial to RL, particularly lower league stuff.
