Our first meaningful fall of snerr in 'Ull right now.

And it's settling.

Interesting ride home from work. Sleet, hail, wind and snow with a bit of thunder and lightning thrown in for good measure.

Was thinking of popping in the Korner Bar for a beer but I bet it's bloody freezing if that door's still open.

Snowing in London, but it's too wet (and the snowfall's too light) for it to settle properly.

It settled here for a while, quite heavy snow, but it's mostly melted.  Field out the back was fully white, now mostly green again.  I expect notifications in the news that all major roads will be closed for the week just in case.

Weather is getting better - an absolute scorcher at the golf on Saturday.

Inevitable storms in the afternoon will soon go and it'll be back to a full day of awesomeness!

Wooooo

I was going to put a swear word at the start but I didn't want you to get the wrong idea so I erased it!

Only snowing a little bit here over the last while but still pretty cold though...can't get car key out of lock since I come from in the house (key is warm) to outside and car, insert key (frozen metal) and key becomes frozen in lock (happens on both car doors and ignition+ trunk of course).

Enjoy the good weather my friend!

Do they get much snow in Canada?

Just back form a wicked X Country ski, hard challenging hills...getting cold again with some snow, nice back in the woods.

I notice that many of the teams do pre season training with fun activities, obstacle courses and such.  Was thinking as I was skiing, "What would some of the teams look like if they all had to X Country ski in pre season...started laughing to myself envisioning the players falling all over the place, dog looked up at me worried, was funny!

  • 2 weeks later...

Could the Beast from the East be on the way?  Still early to say but there is a chance!

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Had alot of rain and alot of snow melted...now dealing with extensive flooding.

Some record breaking warmth going on up the east coast of the Americas.

Almost like the climate is changing.

That is a good way of putting exposure to intense cold!

I had my entire day's worth of meetings cancelled because of people panicking about not even 1cm of snow.  Five separate meetings cancelled.

The bit of London I have been exposed to today has been surprisingly level-headed. No panic, no randomly cancelling meetings. My trains in and out have even been on time.

Think the forecasts are worse for the next couple of days though, so let's see if it holds.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
