Five year plan sounds appropriate for red star.

PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF http://www.rugbyleaguecares.org/ and http://www.walesrugbyleague.co.uk/article/8790/join-team-wales-for-2013

Predictions for the future -

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT

Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

Why not - our future lies across Europe and America, not Australasia - and always has done

100% agree. Serbia is a RL expansion/development success story.

Sounds interesting, RL seems to be growing quickly in Serbia.

It sure does. They(Serbia) need to be fast tracked somehow.

Good luck to them. Would love to see them make it. RL was played in Serbia in the 1950s.

The old Yugoslavia. Didn’t they tour France?

Into which division though? Serbia seem to have a good chance to qualify for 2021 as well

I was talking more of the international side. More games for the national side and junior sides. Tours to Serbia by English and French junior teams. More coaching clinics held throughout Serbia etc.

It would be great to see them in the British leagues , i live nearby and sometimes watch them , there would have to be huge improvements and investments but they are passionate people who are willing to do what it takes!

I would love this to happen.  My visits to Belgrade are always fun and memorable.  That said, Serbia is an poor country compared to most of the region, let alone Western Europe.  That might be a problem.

I have a few Serbian buddies and mean this in the best way possible but Serbs are F#$%*@! crazy!!! RL is definitely a sport for them, hoping that they can qualify for the 2021 WC. they are already doing some great things in eastern Europe for the game and having the qualify would be wonderful for all the people trying to get the game going across Europe.

Looks very interesting. Great to see the rugby league loving Australian chat away in the local language. It reflects a commitment to the country that he bothered to learn.

How many teams and nations can the English pyramid support?

brilliant I have been crying out for this to happen.  a country with a growing rugby league presence so no worries about were the players will come from in them main in fact if any country would be a bit worried about losing players to them it would be France.

don't forget you can book rooms at the rugby league hotel in Belgrade a hotel that's owned by the Serbian rugby league and all profits go towards the game

ah a sunday night in front of the telly watching old rugby league games.

does life get any better .

I had an uncle who played for red star belgrade

Did he say that things were really best left unspoken?  I prefer it all to be out in the open.

Why not,we seem to accept any country that wants to get involved, so why not red star.

Serbia are already involved and have been for a few years they have a big prescience for rugby league in Serbia with many clubs at all grades . also they have played a lot of internationals at European shield level and are now bigger than rugby union in Serbia and all without putting out the begging bowl for help but just getting on with it themselves . they really are the gateway to both the Balkans and eastern Europe for our game .

I would not expect them to need many players from England or Australia when they join league one as they have many good players already . add that to relatively cheap flights to a city that's A GREAT PLACE TO VISIT AND NOT TO PRICEY AS WELL. I will be making another trip out there next season with luck .

It's the only way forward. If they stay in the Serbian set up, their standard will not grow. Get into the UK, it will lift them and the game in Serbia. Kids will have something to aim for and the fan  base will grow with the team.

It takes wisdom to know when a discussion has run its course.

It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.
