Just when you think it's safe to come out from under the blankets.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Probably not the best time to play Wakey given last week of expect a reaction. That and Saints tend to struggle there anyway.  Saints in a tight one.

Saints by a hat-full (more than 20), I know it was first game up but Saints looked superb and Wakefield were outgunned fairly easily by London who are supposedly SL whipping boy rabble for 2019.

Then again, sport is a funny thing and Wakey might sneak a win ... ??

Seriously though, unless Wakey up their game significantly and Saints drop theirs, Wakey are in for a paddlin'

I predict the Wakey fans will be a tad more reserved this week.

Still think it'll be closer than you might expect.

Saints by 6.

I think this is only going one way. Saints to win, but not by that much though.

If it's not broke,

Fix it until it is!

Did Wakey beat Saints at Belle Vue last year?

I expect a big improvement for Wakey but will not quite be enough.

Saints by 10.

They did. Around March/April last year in a close one. Hewer was particularly awful that day too.

Though Saints beat Wakefield in the 8’s at Belle Vue.

There was probably more controversy in St's home win against them but that was last season and this is a new one. Can't see any problems for St's in this one.

Was there? Not sure about that at all.

Depend which Wakefield Trinity turn up.  If it's the one who bend their backs in defence and throw it about in attack then they could shade it by 2 points.  If it's the one who turned up at London last week the God help us.

Saints conceded one try from play acting and another from an interception on wigans line which stopped a certain try.

That was against the champions.

Wakey were rolled over by the ream tipped for relegation.

Nothing but a large win for saints on the cards here.

I would go as far to say after week 1 wakey are the new relegation favourites !!

Not taking much from round one, Wakefield will still be tough opponents even after a hammering by the relegation favourite, potentially a tougher opponent when you consider their coach and fans will be seeking a reaction.

I’ll be pleased to get away from Wakefield with a win of any kind.
