It took you just four posts to turn it into something about Leigh. Congrats.

If Elstone was paid on performance he would owe the game money. Apart from free pizzas i can't think of anything else else he brought to the game

At least he rid us of a French TV deal, and encouraged further contraction of the game. Not many other COs would have had that vision.

Without a doubt a complete waste of time and money and money the game can ill afford to lose

I do hope he is prevented from taking up employment, elsewhere, for the next 12 months.

I wonder what Lenagan does for an encore.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

This is an interesting sentence:

Rugby league officials have also come under pressure to reunify the game by the Government, who have made a total of £28m available in loans to offset the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

I think that pressure is mainly from the fact the RFL have been given/secured that money

Is Football "unified"?  Is Union "unified"?

And also who is telling the press that, is it the RFL? It has to be really as it cant be anyone else because that is who the Government have been dealing with. They aren't exactly impartial on this and have a vested interest.

That has to be correct. The government won't be interested in how RL sets itself up on that front - particularly when it is similar to other sports.
