At least he rid us of a French TV deal, and encouraged further contraction of the game. Not many other COs would have had that vision.

I think that pressure is mainly from the fact the RFL have been given/secured that money

Is Football "unified"?  Is Union "unified"?

And also who is telling the press that, is it the RFL? It has to be really as it cant be anyone else because that is who the Government have been dealing with. They aren't exactly impartial on this and have a vested interest.

That has to be correct. The government won't be interested in how RL sets itself up on that front - particularly when it is similar to other sports.
