Dave T
This confused me, I had to spend a few minutes searching to find out who Melbourne Lions are
corvusxiii
We were stood just where he dived across the line. A nearby lLoiner suggested that GB Fullback spot was pretty much sown up. As Lee Crooks lined up the touchline conversion the South Stand chanted 'You Fat ####. You Fat.....'. The kick went over and my mate turned round and said ' Yeah, but he's not bad for a Fat #### though.....'. Much disgruntlement in the South Stand. 4 TESTICULI AD BREXITAM. Wigan Riversider
Fine player who shone in Melbourne. Long ago but we, GB, could have won the third Ashes test and the WC Final at Wembley. Fond memories.

dkw
Did well to have a career after Gary Charlton nearly decapitated him.... One of the players I used to love watching in full flow, all effort.

marklaspalmas
Class player. And a jolly good bloke by all accounts. I admired him at York, loved him at Fev, was proud of him for GB and never saw him at Gold Coast. 2 https://www.fevarchive.co.uk/

Wigan Riversider
First real memory of him was Elland Rd CC Semi 1984. Dreadful day weather wise. He was all class. Remember feeling delirious as we were on our way to Wembley. Dreams were crushed by Widnes, the cup kings of the day.

Close match but he let a ball bounce- Try. Got to a ball, knock on- Try. Missed tackle- try. Nothing criminally bad but FB is an unforgiving position on a bad day. 1 TESTICULI AD BREXITAM. Cardypaul
Great player and a colourful character, I always preferred him playing at 6 in his Fev days he just had that ability to dance round his opposite number in one on one situations.

Anita Bath
Challenge Cup QF 1984, 8000+ at clarence street and York beat Cas 14-12. Or should I say Steadman beat Cas 14-12. I think he scored all the points and one amazing try lives in the memory. Once seen never forgotten. A great York team that came oh so close to Wembley. Folks who didnt see RL in that era dont know what they missed.
