That's a general entertainment channel, so it might reach new eyeballs. Looking at the guide, the Grand final is on between Hawaii 5-0 and Futurama. Which sounds really weird. Futtocks
Kick-off, and Halifax score in their first set! A long way to go, of course. Futtocks
Half Time - Leeds 16:36 Halifax. I haven't seen this Leeds team as unsettled by an opponent before. gingerjon
Really excellent coverage from Sky. And a superb game. Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. gingerjon
Find content like this and share the heck out of it. Wheelchair RL is both brilliant in its own right *and* something that we do that absolutely fits the zeitgeist. Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Compared to most disability sport it's not that hidden. We do need to shout about it loudly though. Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Dunbar
I saw the first half of this before I was dragged away on family duties. Halifax were well on top at half time so Leeds did well to come back but well done Fax on the deserved win. It really is such a great sport. The players demonstrate skill, game smarts and unbelievable physical commitment in equal measure. As a Rugby League fan, I am proud to be associated with this sport. RigbyLuger
The kick-offs for some World Cup games may not be spectator friendly, but will be for daytime TV viewers. Could gain a few new fans who've only ever heard of "Wheelchair Rugby" from the Paralympics, which is nowt like union, let alone anything "rugby" at all. Futtocks
A lot of posts on Twitter from people saying this was their first time watching the wheelchair version of the game. I haven't seen anything negative yet, apart from one whinge about both teams wearing mostly blue kits, which did have a point, but didn't stop me enjoying the spectacle. It's an excuse, but guess there isn't the money for alternate kits, but you would imagine some businesses would see this as a cheap way of sponsoring an upcoming sport. bamfordsbeans
Great watch.Well done to both teams and in particular a SL title for Fax (a statement I thought I'd never make). Good report on the BBC but no mention of the game from the Halifax Courier.
