It looks  barely  legal.  Certainly  dangerous.

Well they have been like that for the 20 odd grand finals and the 2013 Was final.

And thats one of the differences. That effort in defence. Or in this case, lack of it.

Not comparing the sides but it reminds me of the intensity Saints play at compared to most of Super League, this. Australia play at such high levels, it’s hard to match for long periods.

So a mere 2-try margin is now the criterion for total despair?

That's a Samoa penalty.  He was stood in the way of To'o making a clean catch and ensured there was contact.

Davies doesn't know the modern laws of Rugby League there.

Should be a penalty that. Addo Carr has moved into the space the catcher will be. Clever.

At what point can people point out that this game is done?

I honestly don’t think he watches the sport when he’s not called up by the BBC.

Game over. Makes last week even worse knowing the damp squib we're going to see from here on.

exactly the same as 2013. game over in 20 minutes. The final was last Friday that much was clear

If a game's over at 10:0 then Rugby League's pretty much doomed.

I'm not saying Samoa (in their current form) are going to get back in this, and we all know the Kangaroos will score more.

But two tries and one conversion isn't a lot.

Story of the tournament.

Amateurish video refereeing

Why is the video referee getting stick for a touchline call?

In the heat of the moment, the football markings in the in-goals could confuse defenders defusing a kick.
