Dupree was lucky not to be seriously injured by another Asiofa special on 60 minutes. Any team that gets through a game against Leigh without a serious injury can be relieved,

Just seen it. It’s just below the waist, but nowhere near the knee, and unlike last week his head is on the correct side, behind Dupree’s backside.

Would you advocate for banning tackles below the waist (with exception of an ankle tap)?

Dupree looks like the sort of prop we haven’t had for a decade. A big and mobile player. When Havard gets back, he can replace Byrne, and we will suddenly find ourselves with a decent pack of good size.

Having played Leigh at home this week end, I see we play Hull KR at home next Friday. Given that both of them have their minds firmly on a much bigger occasion, that is extraordinarily fortuitous.

I wonder if Leeds regret letting him go now? They could certainly do with a forward like him now

Hopefully we only have the one more game against Wigan this season. We can't handle their pace. 😞

Thought that Leigh had a good first 20 great shape was surprised it went the way it did.

Enjoyed the result but not so much the game. I didn't think either team were great.

Leigh started well but Wigan's defence was far too passive in that first 20 minutes. The Amone try was embarrassing.

Wigan got lucky with the two tries late in the first half and then Leigh kind of gave up. Very reminiscent of the first game between the two teams this season.

As the Leigh fans, quite correctly, kept reminding us, they are going to Wembley. If they play like that, they will get thumped.

Not at all.
He has demonstrably a technique that has repeatedly injured players. Which involves hurling himself at an opponent. I am delighted Wigan came away with all of their players fit and well. I don’t make the rules, and have no idea of how he is coached or what he thinks will happen. I am relieved that it didn’t go as badly as last week. If that’s ok by you? I hope all the other teams he plays against similarly come through unscathed.

Just back from the stadium (Well checked in at my hotel in Warrington) excellent display from Wigan,Leigh looked really good in the first 20 mins fantastic shape but after that a different story.

A couple of drinks with the Leigh hierarchy after the game Derek in good form took the defeat like a gentleman all in all great day (Left at 5-40am this morning only 4 hours Sevenoaks to Wigan:)))

Video up on my you tube channel tomorrow with some great clips of some old famous trophies that Wigan have.

Now for a nice dinner glass or 2 of wine bed and then back down soffff to watch the Broncos tomorrow .

Goodnight:)

Are you based in Sevenoaks? That is a hop and skip from ours.

With regards to Asiata it went as well for you today as it did for the teams the previous 19 rounds

Only my second game of the season. Glad to see Leigh haven’t changed a bit 😅

Played well in patches. Looked like a Championship team in a Challenge Cup tie in others. In reality, Wigan took their chances and were happy to let Leigh go through their sets without Leigh threatening much. Scoreline probably a little flattering in the end, really. Early kick off is handy for a good sup after the game, at least.

i missed the match today on C4 and i'm really annoyed about it.  Can anyone tell me, how long it takes to become available on the ''watchback'' facility?

I just looked and their only offering St. Helens v Salford which was the last game, (ages ago).

If it turns up before too long, i'll wait and watch it today.

Thanks (in anticipation) for the advice.

It's on C4 on my smart TV. Just started watching it.

Nobody wants to see injuries. But if that tackle on Dupree had happened two weeks ago, I don’t think you’d have bothered to comment on here about it.

They have changed on the whole this season. You’ve just picked the wrong games!

He looked very good. For his first time out in this team he played big minutes and changed the game when he came on.

Great try as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of that from him.

I'm always baffled why C4 think we need to know how many tries are included on the score. Is that not a Union thing?

Why would I be jealous?

There's usually a post announcing how many Leigh fans are going to games.

Couldn’t go today but it was a good turn out looking at the game when I got back.

We was always going to get dicked. My little flutter of a 20-30 points loss proved fruitful in the end on a rather tired, flat, Leigh side !

When on fire, Wigan will take some stopping.

Just caught up with it and was surprised how easy it was for Wigan in the end.

I know I predicted a Wigan win but didn't expect it in that manner, Leigh looked good for the first quarter and were good to watch, lots of players in motion and lots of quick passing but they quickly became undone.

Is it the the start of a burst bubble or just a blip?

Either way, Wigan were impressive and looked excellent at times.

Their 2 centres are very good and their wingers are fast, strong and dangerous.

As chairman of Huddersfield Supporters are you a little jealous of a town of 41,000 with so much support?

It was a decent turn out today but nothing more than that.

For a team fresh off the back of securing a first Wembley appearance for a generation, I would have expected better.

It was a carbon copy of the first game between the two teams this year. Leigh looked good in the initial stages and then fell apart when Wigan got in front.

Wigan have played a lot better this season and Lost.
