York missing Harris, Myler, Edwards, Antrobus, Santi, Dagger, Kienhorst, Cunningham, Williams.

Hopefully we play a lot better than we have been and there’s a decent game to watch.

Don’t think we will see Myler in a Knights shirt again.

Great win for us today. Expected a backlash from Toulouse after last week, but we look a well coached, well drilled team.

To have 3 wins from Wakey (A) Fax (H) Fev (A) Toulouse (H) is a great start, despite a lot of injuries.

Terrible start from Toulouse. Started well have Bulls. Looking forward to the 1895 semi finals.

Wakey 24-0 York. York were by far the better team for 12 minutes, then we scored one flukey try from a kick it looks like the floodgates have opened.

Not at all. Few early silly kicks putting York on trinity line but the trinity defence too strong and dealt with York comfortably. York were in a better position but not by far the better team at all. Trinity have been all over York who have been run ragged for 30 minutes.

Trinity not really got out of second gear again in reality.

So they should giving the playing budget and full time against part time, it is hardly a fair contest but they are the cards we are dealt. No doubt next season when you are back in Super league normal service will be resumed and the Trin will be on the end of a few hammerings as last season.

All teams get a hammering now and then, its only a few years since Trinity hammered the mighty Wigan 62 - 0, and Shaun Wayne blamed the defeat / hammering on a sickness bug in the Wigan camp / team

Had to laugh at the Wakefield fans singing “You’re supposed to be at home” when it was actually them who were supposed to be at home. Best bit of the afternoon tbh. Referee didn’t even fall over or anything decent like at the Toulouse game.

Fev get back on the horse with a wide-margin win at Doncaster. Eight changes from last weekend including returns from injury/suspension for Springer, Day, Bussey and it ended up a fairly comfortable win, though I'm not sure how much we can glean from it as Doncaster were really poor despite having eight ex-Fev players in their line-up.

Oustanding performance from Paul Turner who really looked the part today, something positive seemed to happen every time he had the ball and he set up at least 4 tries.

Will surely be a much tougher test next week against an in-form Widnes team who thrashed Halifax today.

Fantastic second half from Widnes, in front of 2558. Jack Owens having an excellent game.

Think next week, v Fev, might be more testing.

I don't think York would have expected much against Wakey, but it's surprising to see them at the bottom of the table with zero points.

Hopefully, that won't change when we play them next week!

Quite the turnaround from 4-14 at half-time to finish 40-14, but I thought we were on top even in the first half in spite of a bit of a lack of speed and intensity, just that we bombed a couple of tries and some great cover defence from Fax at times, whereas Halifax had three chances to score and took them all, with a couple of poor pieces of goal-line defence.

Some brilliant passages of play from Widnes to get three tries in a bit over five minutes at the start of the second half, but we did get a couple of lucky bounces of the ball on kicks that led to tries and then Halifax fell apart a bit, and of course they started trying a bit too hard to catch up which led to more tries. Owens was obviously our best player, his lack of pace is deceptive 🙂.

I think Halifax look good for 40 minutes

In the last 4 games they have had 2 2nd half's where they have scored zero points. The other 2 games they have scored 1 try in each 2nd half.

I didn't go today but we appear threadbare. Couldn't name a 21 man squad and 3 players named in the 20 man squad we already knew were not playing. Said at the start of the season that with a full team we would make the playoffs but that pointless game against Hammersmith where we lost 3 of our best players for the season wrecked the season before it started and it seems our new board either don't have the resources or are totally oblivious to the fact we look a bit of a shambles. Been in the relegation mix I don't think is out of the question.

Shocking result for Doncaster considering the money that has been pumped in this season.

Why do you think we got rid of em. 😉

Looking at the Trinity and York squads there’s a lot missing for both.

Trinity missing McGillvray, Pratt, Atoni, Hood, Pitts, Boothroyd and Bain.

Im amazed the Trinity squad still looks very strong with those out. You don’t realise how much quality depth Trinity have until there’s a lot missing but it’s still strong.

Have to say the recruitment this season has unearthed some quality talent capable of stepping up and doing well in SL.

It's easy to amass an impressive squad when you have money to throw at as many as you want in a hybrid full/part time league.

Still, you still have to win games on the field as well as having a nice big pot of cash to play with.

Where was this guy when Wakefield needed him?

I'd say he turned up just at the right time.
