I'm embarrassed for Saints there, yellow card for being a bit rough with Welsby.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Not really sure how that could be a yellow card.

It's either a good hit - or he's hit him in the head, what mitigation there is if he did make head contact I don't know.

Personally, didn't look like he hit his head for me.

Nowt wrong with the tackle, and nothing for Makinson running in.

Can't believe Makinson got away with nothing for that tbh. Nothing wrong with the tackle either.

The only people that need to be embarrassed is the pathetic official their zealousness is ruining this sport

I was interested to see Welsby staying down, followed by a yellow card for the tackle on him, and yet remain on the field with no HIA. I had thought that the new TRL directive meant that this was - to borrow Truss’ meme - A DISGRACE!

Welsby is a master of it.

Earned a red v the Giants in a game they should have lost.

Standing around waiting for the video ref to come in is a bad look.

I think the VR should only come in if the incident merits being put On Report.

The current situation encourages delaying the game and hoping that something marginal (or clean, as in the Leutele yellow tonight) is interpreted as high contact.

I hope the RFL or the video ref has to justify that decision !

Well, it will be before the disciplinary automatically.

I thought that. If he actually hit him the head, there’s no mitigation. If he didn’t hit him the head, there’s no penalty.

Another good grounding being incorrectly ruled on on the field!

Glad that the Makinson grounding was overturned; he doesn't stuff those up.

Indeed. I don't understand the middle ground. Leutele leveled him (in what I believe was a clean hit).

I think I recall the ref' saying there was some "secondary contact to the head" which I didn't really understand from seeing replays. Which I can only assume means the first contact wasn't to the head but somehow there was contact after initial contact?

No idea.
