when did "mastermind" get dumbed down so much? it seems to be more important to line up diversity contestants and ask them questions designed for 7 year olds these days rather than show any true worth of knowledge like it used to be

For a programme that's based on "knowledge", it's amazing that the BBC has no knowledge of what constitutes a "celebrity".

Speaking of books I recently finished the Book of Boba Fett series on Disney.

Personally I was disappointed in the direction they took the character in as an older fan of Star Wars.

I guess the pivot towards influences from the prequels rather than the Original Trilogy makes sense from a demographic standpoint, but for me personally it comes at a cost to the overall quality of the material.

I really enjoyed it. Proper spaghetti western stuff in nature that reminded me of my childhood watching them with my granddad.

Have you watched both series of The Mandalorian?

They’re really enjoyable and very much have that feel that you’re talking about - he’s a great lead character.

The greatest advert ever made! Or something. Check out the captain's uniform and the stuntman in a dress.

I’m always intrigued by the people placed unnaturally and strategically in the background of antiques roadshow just to get in camera shot , and who are no doubt told not to move on pain of death

My wife's been to the filming of that. It's a good day out, apparently.

There was no pain of death at any point.

due to the same monotone low bass gruffy grumbling and mumbling  that seems to be the order of the day now that gets on my teats ????

Also the land bangs, music so you got your Tv volume on at 75 because of some BBC drama e.g. Jamaica Inn mumbling and the you got to drop it down 25 because of the sudden music or explosion and GOT was like that.

Is this the last series of Peaky Blinders ?. I remember watching the first series when it came out as i was looking forward to seeing  how realistic it was to the books id read on gangs around the U.K. during the Victorian days to the 1930’s. Sadly i wasn’t that impressed with it unlike everyone else, but I do see a lot of Peaky Blinders wannabes walking around now. The only thing they’re missing are fob watches. If the show had started in the 1870/80’s i wouldn’t have been surprised seeing my neighbours on PennyFarthings, or parking up their balloon in their garden.

I watched the first 3 series of it. Thought the first 2 were pretty good but the 3rd was rubbish. I remember thinking the story was incredibly confusing and convoluted and I couldn't understand anything that was going on so I stopped watching it after that. You're right, you see so many people wandering round with that haircut and I distinctly remember flat caps becoming very popular with teenagers a few years ago. Hull were selling a flat cap in their shop a couple of years back.

I watched, and enjoyed, series 1 of Peaky Blinders. Didn't feel the need to watch any more, though.

Were they meant to be from Birmingham, because at times i thought Ringo Starr had entered the room ?.

If you are into French films (with subtitles) “La Belle Époque” is not to be missed, but you have 1 month only to view.

An ingenious film of a disillusioned 60+ whose marriage is on the rocks, who opts to relive the week of his life when, 40 years earlier, he met his true love.  A poignant and fun story with sublime acting and direction.

Moonknight is the new Marvel offering on Disney.

No idea what is going on, but I enjoyed the chaos.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!
