Gotta say, I’m more than a little happy for Marwan Koukash. I know he’s not every Salford fan’s favorite person, but if it wasn’t for him and his cash, and some of his crazy ideas which I loved ?, you have to wonder where they’d be now

Better without him.

Hooter gone, and even a Rugby League fan would find it hard to disagree with what we've seen.

Tons of enthusiasm from those who posted about the actual match. And a fair bit of entertainment from the minority who made revealing posts about their own personal neuroses and victim fantasies while pretending (even to themselves in some cases) that they were commenting on the match. Sigmund Freud would have laughed himself sick.

Now, at last, COME ON SALFORD! WE BELIEVE!

Salford were just above the drop 3 months ago. They won 8 out of the last 10 league games and then aced the play-offs. Amazing turnaround!

Huge congrats!

"Props" go to Salford's pack. Massively underrated and a huge part of why they won tonight.

Also well done to Phil Clarke for writing their team talk.

Ahh , our Jackson is emotional

He's came across brilliantly in that interview, superb seeing that kind of emotion.

Wow. What a game. Congratulations to Salford. Don't you just love this sport. What a season!! Hope they go all the way and win it. ?

How fantastic it is for the sport that we don't have two of the usual suspects in the grand final for once. It's just a shame I keep remembering that Paul Rowley's involved with them.

Hats off to Jackson, a truly humble human being and a great British half in the making

So pleased for Dudson and Mossop too after the ups and downs they’ve been through. Hope they do it next week

As he said , he was almost done and now through coming to Salford he’s at the other extreme

Just what the game needs. We're all Salford, aren't we?

St Helens fans might find themselves outnumbered next weekend - the crowd won't all be wearing Salford shirts, but still...

This is why it’s especially good to have new teams achieve big things ... it means so much more to them and is such a story

And so humble, seems a top bloke and testament to the culture and coaching at Salford that he’s turned things around both on and off the pitch.

Unreserved congratulations to Salford, players, management and hard core of faithful supporters. Fully justified the outcome of the game and fully justified league position.

Same as mossop just said, watto needs the highest of praise for everything he's done for salford and those players that were cast off and he took them in and created that team. Man it's a brilliant sport story that rugby league should be proud of. I don't mind admitting those interviews with Hastings and mossop have me now rooting for Salford in the final.

We should get rid of the play offs. No one needs nights like this.
