weloveyouwakefield2 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 no rugby league affected by the weather today then...
bamfordsbeans Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Really poor from the BBC.According to there website no fixtures have been called off today. People used to rely on them for information.
JonM Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 They're updating the RL fixtures page as the news of postponements comes through. I doubt they have someone monitoring Twitter etc. - it will rely on the clubs or RFL telling the BBC.
ST1959 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 The tfl are not up to date with postponements so what chance the BBC
Hopping Mad Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 It'll rely on PA Media's Howden office telling the BBC.
JonM Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 And in fact the linked story at the top of this page now says: Huddersfield Giants v Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity against Catalan Dragons' Super League games are off.
Bolton Leyther Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 I think we might be a touch oversensitive with this kind of thing at times.

I’ve not seen any notification of that?
Dunbar Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Maybe the BBC are confused because ours is a summer sport and it wouldn't be affected by adverse weather in the heart of winter. "If someone doesn't value evidence, what evidence are you going to provide to prove that they should value it? If someone doesn't value logic, what logical argument could you provide to show the importance of logic?" — Sam Harris

Gooleboy Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 The BBC RL page had postponements on mid morning, and it has been updating. Featherstone game called of at 12 and was on the BBC around 12.30 as off.
Gerrumonside ref Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 R5L mentioned that the Super League fixtures were off in their last bulletin.

He read it before anyone involved in RL told them about any postponements and expected them to be psychic, got a bit overexcited and ranted on here with a conspiracy story
