No idea how this will go. Salford are off the pace missing some former players such as Flash. Big loss was Brown to Huddersfield,  Salford seem to be less fit this year.

Salford look vulnerable in the pack with not many big hitters and ackers failing somewhat to adequately replace lussick

As a widnes fan, I can indeed see an upset happening

I think my fellow Widnes fans are a bit over optimistic for this game. We couldn’t even close out the game against Newcastle, I very much doubt we’ll match Salford

Tend to agree with this.

Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

At least that might mean that we can find out who can play full back.

Always look on the bright side, eh John?

That was my first thought, too. Salford should win this game, but the confidence of the last two seasons has seemingly evaporated, so I'm back to 'not sure' mode. Hoping the team clicks and we win by about 15 points.

Yes, Tony. Can’t understand why we signed an international full back, but haven’t played him, preferring instead an international centre who clearly struggles at full back. Don’t know why we didn’t retain Ashall-Bott when we had the chance.

Widnes have not been impressive so far this season. Last weeks 2nd half performance certainly does not fill me with confidence for this game. Salford to win by 30 or so.

We have yet to slip into 6th gear that much is true

I think the pack may need some attention

Some good young lads coming through though
