England by a lot of course, I think England will be the opposite of Samoa and care much more about set completion and fluidity than the overall scoreline. Samoa won 72-6 but were absolutely shocking with ball in hand only 65% Set completion.

I think Greece will be a tougher nut to crack this time. I think we’ll be limited to 60 points. Maybe the nut analogy isn’t the best… they’ll be a tougher Nutella to spread.

Great opportunity for England to use this game to get ready for the QF's.

Can only see England winning by 70+. Hopefully a big crowd will create a good atmosphere and a day the Greeks will remember.

Think a few key players will be rested when the team list comes out today - literally no value in risking them in this game. Victor Radley the only who might be deemed key but play - Wane is a big softy and he'll know Radley's dad and all his mates are coming to this one.

My guess/hope for players rested: Tomkins, Makinson, Watkins, Whitehead, Burgess, Hill, Thompson

Team:

Welsby

Young

KPP

Farnworth

Hall

Sneyd

Williams

Cooper

Ackers

Oledzki

Batchelor

Bateman

Radley

Knowles, McIlorum, Lees, McMeeken

Makinson should play he’s already been rested no need to rest him again.

Yes but the idea that if something happened to him then Hall plays the rest of the tournament doesn't bare thinking about. Appreciate similar risk with Young but age and previous injuries came into my thinking.

I think we will rest a few and have one eye on the quarters. Greece will be desperate to make an impression in their last game against the hosts with a decent crowd. Obviously England will be far too good, but I don't quite see the complete blowout that some are calling.

Wasn't expecting Farnworth to be rested - hopefully if it's a knock it's not too serious. KPP and Bateman in the centres?

Looked to have his leg strapped last week, so no point taking risks. He's been impressive so far and we'll need him fit for the big games.

Wane said KPP will play a few positions, so I expect a start at centre but then some time in the backrow. I wouldn't be surprised to see Makinson or even Young line up at centre (probably Makinson) and then Makinson to maybe even spend some time at fullback, as I could see Williams having a turn this week to get some minutes off. It'll be a bit of a constant shuffle I'd imagine but that shouldn't hurt us too much.

I'd start-

Welsby

Young, Pearce-Paul, Makinson, Hall

Williams, Sneyd

Oledzki, Ackers, Lees

Bateman, Batchelor, Knowles,

Subs

Cooper, McMeekan, Thompson, Hill.

Rests for Radley and T Burgess because they'll also be massive for us come the knock outs. Big minutes for guys like Oledzki, Lees and Knowles with them not having many so far. I'm not worried about changing too much and would rather get rest in to players. Wane will have them 100% ready come that quarter final, just as he did for the opener.

Thinking about rotation, resting etc, it's a bit of a square pegs scenario, but here is how I think it will play out: 1 Welsby, 2 Makinson, 3 Pearce-Paul, 4 Bateman, 5 Hall, 6 Sneyd, 7 Williams, 8 Burgess, 9 Ackers, 10 Hill, 11 Batchelor, 12 McMeekan, 13 Knowles

Bench: 14 Oledzki, 15 Radley, 16 Lees, 17 Cooper

Young and Thompson to miss out.

Coming up from Kent for his one, It should be one sided and England should set as their main objective not letting Greece across their try line. along with no clocking off as in the last 20 minutes of the first half and last 10 minutes of the second half against a plucky but outclassed France.

I would leave Victor Radley out, he is too important to this side and the Roosters where it was noticable this year in the NRL the difference when he was on and off the firld.

Going to cost me but , Never been to Bramall lane and It is the World Cup...

Don’t see why he would name all three wingers unless he was going to start them. He isn’t going to put one on the bench  and Welsby and Young seem to have a nice combination going

Fully agree with Radley being rested. If we want to get to the final and have an outside sniff of winning it, he needs to be fit. My big worry going in to the tournament was the absence of some really influential leaders. Guys like Sam Burgess, Lockers, Graham and Roby were all good players in that last World Cup but if anything, were slightly past their best in terms of performance (although still very good) but what I felt they did give all the other players was a real sense of confidence and calm. I think in Radley we've found a guy who is doing that this time. He is gluing the side together in the middle and fair play to the likes of him, Whitehead, Tomkins etc, who have stepped up to help lessen the impact of those guys I mention not being around.
