O’Donnell is very lucky to only get 6 games for that assault.

Very luck to be honest, I was expecting 10 at minimum. Good news for Leigh that he will be back in time for Leeds away at the start of August, but I can very much understand other fans frustrations it's not more. It looked a horrendous tackle live and only got worse on rewatch.

Where you seeing the extra 2 games thing at, all I saw was 1 match upheld, nothing additional.

Never mind, i see it's a daft twitter thing.

Though not as daft as only 6 games ban for O'Donnell, how is Pryce got 10 but this one is just 6.

people been taken in by the parody account again? 1 match here, surprised they appealed considering he got off light with 1 game.

Very surprised O'Donnell only got 6 games also.

Both Leigh players contested the grading which is an interesting take

6 matches is the ceiling for physical offences.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

The only mitigation I can see... and, believe me I am not defending any of them, just pointing out the difference.

With Pryce and Hugo Salabio they both had hold of the player when they landed and 'drove' them into the ground.  Indeed Salabio landed with his weight on top of Myler.

O'Donnell on the other hand placed the York player in an extremely dangerous position but had released him by the time he hit the ground.

Now, the way the York lad landed was horrible but if he had another players weight on him or if he had been driven into the ground in that position, it would have been worse.

As I say, no defence, just pointing out a (perhaps) key difference.

I think there is something in this. I've just watched both tackles, and Pryce's was absolutely the worst of the two.

What has to be remembered though is that if this was last year, O'donnell would have received 8 matches, as the RFL decided foul play isn't to be taken as seriously this year and have watered down bans.

O Donnels tackle was bad all the same, but your summary of this is spot on. Salabio and Pryces tackles were full on Powerslams !

O Donnell did make an attempt to let go, but it was too late.  It was always going to be a 6-8 ban.

Should have been off. Whether he landed on his neck or not the intent was there

To land the player on his neck?

I doubt that ever entered Hardacre's head, once lifted the player was totally vulnerable had Hardacre the intent he could have seriously hurt him.

How did Will Pryce get 10 games last season then?

And Hugo Salabio got 7.

Amazing how a week of cup ties absolutely stuffed with some of the dumbest sending off's I have ever seen comes back to how poor the ref's and disciplinary are.

Yep, it's never the fault of players is it who never put a foot wrong and it's those pesky match officials and disciplinary officers who get everything wrong 😔

Considering Will Pryce got 10 matches for an almost carbon copy incident.

So you saying the disciplinary panel got it wrong lol

Rugby Union the only game in the world were the spectators handle the ball more than the players.
