Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

I'll make my predictions once the squads are announced. Greg Burns could be back for us. The man is like having an extra player. Still can't believe Eagles let us sign him.

I hope Sheffield can get some form back and help keep Toulouse in freefall.

An unbelievably poor run by Sheffield continues.

I watched the second half of the game and thought Sheffield had a dig and were a bit better than the final score suggested.

I don't think Sheffield's current run is unbelievable though, they are a decent team but I'm not convinced they're massively better than they have been in the last few seasons and the fact that until recently they have been up there around second place this season highlights how weak the Championship has been this season.

Anthony Thackeray, even at the age of 38, is a key player for them and I don't think it's a coincidence that he has missed the last 8 games and they have lost six of them.

But finally, there's also the Tubbs issue. As well as not having Thackeray it must have had a huge impact on the squad having Aston suspended for the last few weeks, therecan't be a more influential coach in the division in terms of what he means to his team.

Most influential coach and Thackeray the most influential player.

I think the fact Sheffield havent had a week off since February is catching up with them. They went deeper than any champ team in the cup and also made it to the final of the 1895. Not having a weekend off for a part time club is hard. They've played nearly 2 months worth of games more than Toulouse, who have named near full strength squads most weeks, which is so important at this time of the year.

Best us next week though and suddenly everything looks much better.

We should have beaten Sheffield the week before we beat Toulouse. Having played you and them both recently I think Bradford will have more impact in the playoffs than Sheffield.

Sheffield looked good first half but Toulouse looked strong second half, they upped the pace as they have done in all their winning home games this season. Ulberg and OA-B were excellent.

We played game 31 yesterday.  In August.  Last year, game 29 was in October.

We play too many games and everyone knows it.

Well wakey put 60 past Swinton. Not much to say about this match tbh. I felt Swinton have a cracking little ground which I really enjoyed. The negative is that I counted probs 70 swinton fans there.

As one of younger ones on this forum, I've really enjoyed going to away games this season. Unfortunately the overwhelming impression I've been left with is how do these clubs survive?

Seems highly unlikely.  Did you only count the ones with the scarves, bobble hats and big blue and white rosettes?

That seems extremely unlikely. You honestly believe had the been no Wakefield fans there the crowd would have been about 70? We're there in a few weeks. I'll let you know but I'd be surprised if there's less than 800 there minimum. Most of which will be Swinton fans and maybe a couple of hundred Donny fans.

Squeaky bum time for Fax but we were worth the win.
