I think the absence of Minchella for his arm brushing against a crouching Moylan's head will affect KR's creativity.

This should be a tight contest and be decided by which team takes their opportunities. Hard to predict, but I'll go for a home win.

24-20

I'm going for the Rovers. Time after time this year I've expected a loss and the players have put together a completely dominant and inspiring win. I think this game will be no different. In Willie we trust.

Cannot see past a KR win.

I think the Saints game last week could have emptied the wire tank.

KR by 2 scores.

Could work both ways. Could be better preparation for them, than a week off. And maybe Wire would've been better prepared for last week if they didn't have a couple of easier games in the final regular rounds.

That said, if KR's defence is as relentless as it has been, they'll win by a couple of scores.

Weeks off haven't been a benefit of late, SRD rested all their players before the Leigh game Warrington rested before CC final so this could benefit Warrington, wire by the odd point.

I appreciate this might sound bitter, but I think Warrington will have to improve if they are to win here.

Based on nothing more than instinct, I think Warrington will improve and get the win.

Play off semi finals are different beasts. And I'm interested in how Hull KR deal with it.

Hull KR 8-18 Warrington.

Hull KR at home are a force of nature. They have a style of play which is really robust, and mechanical (in a good way), and that is what you need in the tightest of games. Home advantage will carry the day in both the games this weekend. Which is harsh on both the away teams, but that’s why top 2 in this system is massive.

All that said, I expect Wire to throw everything at this till the final second, and a red card for HKR could still swing it. Can’t wait!

I used to trust in my Willie to but as one gets older well you know:)

Gutted I can't make this😡. A really difficult game for both sides. Probably be good for a neutral. Come on you Wire 🐺🏉. Just a win will do by whatever margin 🙀.

Warrington really have to improve over last week, as KR will be fresher and Wire can't afford to ship 16 points in the first 30 minutes.

With both teams at their best it would be too close to call on a neutral ground.   Home advantage will probably be the deciding factor, plus a bit of fatigue from last Saturday possibly.

As a Wire fan I hope that Burgess' motivational words at half time can get us a narrow victory, but whatever happens it's been a fantastic season for Warrington, so can't complain.

Though these are two of the top scoring sides in the league I can see both teams cancelling each other out and the game becoming a war of attrition. I think Rovers being fresher and having home advantage will be the factor.

I think we will pinch it again! Wires by 1!

2009 Warrington 25 Hudderfield 16

2010 Warrington 30 Leeds 6

2011 League Leaders Shield Winners

2012 Warrington 35 Leeds 18

Challenge cups and league leaders shields everywhere! We need more silver polish!

Warrington just!

Minchella is a massive loss for HKR and a good start from Wire could unsettle them. Williams at his best bringing a 8 point win for Wire.

‘Brushed’, are you for real?

Voted for Hull KR, but don't have a preference who wins this. I'm a big fan of both Mikey Lewis and George Williams, partly because of them being England players, but also because they're great to watch. Sam Burgess too, because of what he did as a player for England.

May the best team on the day, win.

Yeah, if you look at it carefully you can see that the force is minimal.

This is Wires biggest game since the Cup Final and they didn't come close to nailing their best performance that day. I reckon Burgess will have them totally zoned in for this and with the absence of Minchella for HKR, it'll be enough to squeeze them through.

Wire by 4.

Great write up on Neil Hudgell in The Times. There’s a paywall but they usually let you read one article for free:

https://www.thetimes.com/sport/rugby-league/article/hull-kr-betfred-super-league-post-office-coldplay-rugby-league-owen-slot-8rbrgc6cs

The journalist is right about one thing in particular: If we lose tonight, it will still have been a great moment and one many of us thought we might never see. The future’s bright, this is just the start of it.

It is easy and valid to criticise The Times for its miserly coverage of our sport, so, credit where it is due, there is a good, full-page (in the paper edition) piece today by Owen Slot, who I think is their chief sports writer.  It is on the background to Hull KR's resurgence, and in particular the roles of Messrs. Cudgell and Sewell, especially the former, who is dubbed 'Post Office crusader'.  This reflects his central role in supporting wronged postmasters and mistresses in the PO IT scandal, something of which some RL fans might not be aware.

Here is the link:

A good read.

Looking at the vote on here I couldn't be happier with Warrington being underdogs they generally play better when they are not the favorites.
