I’m very new around here, only joined last year.

Go on then Worzel - who are you reborn from? I’ve seen others elude to your previous alias(es) but not sure I can remember? I did once think you could’ve been someone who posted as Scotchy but either you’ve mellowed or it’s not you 😂

Been around pre 2004. I used to enjoy Middleton Bulls posts in cross code.

Dare I mention Parksider? He could start an argument in an empty vault.

Quite often with himself under a different name, as it turned out more than once.

3 pages in and he finally gets a mention. I never quite knew if he got banned in the end or just quit the forum. Sad either way because he was passionate, even if a bit misguided at times.

Some people are just born to argue. Perfect for an online forum!

Was a fiver! But it was free for several years prior to that.

I think a few oldies are still here but it was more fun with L'Angelo, Cas Vegas, Rhubarb and that dude who kept posting Kevin Pietersen in a yellow jacket. Am sure Matt Santos was about in a former incarnation.

sadly Cas Vegas passed away a few years ago, he was a great bloke

2005 for me, but I think i was on before that and left as it was horrendously clicky, 3 or 4 posters believed it was their forum and would constantly hound anyone not in their "gang" out.

Yeah so why did you come back... Get out of my house !!!  🤣🫣

I remember sneaking onto TRL at my desk when I worked in York between 1997 and 2000 (just checked my cv!). I used to sit next to "York Rhino" at work, who some may remember as a combative lefty with no diplomatic filter (a bit like L'Angelo).

I remember misunderstanding the humour, sarcasm and subtle mickey taking of people like Padge, who inadvertently taught me how to deal with internet forums. The union bloke used to wind me up to death until I realised it's all just words on a screen. He was called Clive Woody I think.

Cas Vegas was ace, Silent Bob was legendary, Gingerjon and Futtocks remain firm favourites and there are so many characters that have been and gone; while some endure and continue to entertain and educate.

I have no idea when I registered but it must be 2000 at the latest. Anyone know when this thing started? John  must know.

Clive woody and silent bob... Totally forgot about him/they/them... Bob was ace... Woody well...

Back in the day you had a strong cohort of people who were chiefly or entirely union fans. Severus, Shadow, JWAD (he of the four Kiwis of the apocalypse), Clive Woody, one or two more who came and went. A bit of an odd use of your time, but the four I mentioned all brought value to the forum.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

My account says Feb 2015, but I don’t understand why.

I was commenting using this name since around 2010 I reckon.

This thread has got me thinking about some names I haven’t seen for a while.

Davo, Dunbar and Oxford come to mind who I think I have seen recently enough but not exactly in the last few months.

Parksider used to get everyone offside.

I knew Simon aka the Lounge Room Lizard. Didn’t agree with him a hell of a lot, but a passionate RL man. RIP

Posting since Feb 2019, mostly on the NRL forum (Supercoach tragic). I, too, miss Dunbar. I didn't always agree with him, but his arguments were logical and well thought out, which is more than can be said for some!

4 May 2004 apparently.

Goodness. That’s over 2 decades.

Me too.  Might be coincidence or maybe some restart on that date?

I enjoyed the brief lunacy of mwn and his passion for dirt hill stadiums and other things. All expressed through long crazy posts.

Surprised we have got to page three without mention of two competitive seafood based products.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

How have I been posting on here longer than you? You are older than me, definitely look older, and even your use of language is older!!! So old Mr President…

… my account says 2004 but definitely have been on here since the 2001-2002 period.

It’s a strange experience… over the few decades I’ve been on here I’ve grown as a human being, my family has grown, some of my friends have died or gotten seriously ill, others have flourished, my physical neighbourhood has changed and grown, I’ve travelled a lot, worked heaps etc ….. and this forum has remained a constant all through those decades.

Like all good things it may well come to an end one day and that day will be an interesting day for me indeed.

Joined in June 2004, which was ironically the month I started work for the first time 😅

Had been on RLFans for a good couple of years prior to that, and only started using here more frequently once the lunatics finally overran the place

Facebook groups - and I don’t go anywhere near those - have largely killed off the club-centric forums across RL, but I do tend to find it’s a nice medium on here

Just looked and I was 2006 which did surprise me - I think at that time I was posting more on RLFANS. Nearly 20 years then. Jeez I am getting old 🤣🤣
