Former American Footballer turned civil rights activist and actor Jim Brown. Not an entirely unchequered reputation, but a remarkable person nonetheless: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/may/19/jim-brown-dead-nfl-star-civil-rights-activist

Drag artist deaths coming in threes - Barry Humphries, Paul O'Grady and now it appears that George Logan (aka Evadne Hinge from the comedy duo Hinge & Bracket) has died.

Knew Algy quite well back in the day when I did security/roadie for The Ruts and The Angelic Upstarts. A good lad and a much underrated bassist.

We lost touch over the years 😔

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

So many fantastic jokes on the twitters.

Tina was amazing. I first heard her solo Eighties work when I was growing up, then dug into the older stuff when I moved to London (and its much bigger record shops). Let's just say that, after the divorce, Ike Turner released a lot of filler to capitalise on her second career.
