Good luck to him. If he can get a season or two of decent performances under his belt at this stage in his career, I hope he enjoys the experience.

Don't ask why I was reading the Ull Daily Mail

Because the Western Mail  in Cardiff has a wee bit less RL coverage than its Hull namesake?

Saw an interview with him on one of the Betfred social channels. He comes across well. He mentions he thinks he'll be playing 6 with Rangi Chase at 7. Him playing one side and Rangi the other.

Will certainly be interesting to see how he adapts. Best of luck to him though.

My path and his crossed quite a lot almost a decade ago in RU. I have never seen such a gap between (potentially what was then) the public perception and the reality. A lovely, decent, down to earth bloke who was very easily led astray but absolutely wracked with self doubt and a desire to be liked. Strangely, for all his (then) playboy image, he was the one who was always staying behind to meet the kids after matches and training sessions, and the fans who wanted to talk.

I've wanted him to do well ever since really.

"The game is so tactical and I didn't realise that from watching it. I just thought it's hit it up for three or four, then have a go and kick"

Well who knew that?

Amazing isn't it.... Chase and Henson playing in the halves together in 2021.... Imagine in 2012 none of us were predicting that!

"To be honest another reason for getting involved in league is that all the coaches I had and admired the most and thought were the best were the rugby league background ones," he said."

That's an interesting read, look forward to seeing him an derwent park, I'm sure he realises he'll be a bit if a target on the pitch so fair play to him giving it a go.

39, though. Helluva age to take up rugby league.

You may well be right. But this is Championship One not Super League.

We have lacked good half backs since our beginning, Now we have Two.

His experience will guide the younger players.

It will be interesting to see Rangi Chase at this level. Come on Raiders.

Rangi Chase should be the best player in League One if his heads in the right place and his hearts in it.
