Tanya is leaving BBc Yorkshire to go freelance. She still hopes to be covering RL in some capacity.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

Tanya Arnold doesn't work for BBC News, she's Sports and Look North

Although I'm sure BBC regional broadcasting will be feeling the financial squeeze sooner rather than later too.

Various posts removed, to keep the thread on topic, ie, about Tanya Arnold.

If you want to discuss the internal politics of the BBC, or political aspects of the BBC's funding, or make any other political point, use the politics sub forum. It is not relevant to the Rugby League forum. That's not a new policy on here, it is an ancient established tradition on TRL.

If anyone has a problem with the way the forum its moderated, PM me about it.

That is all.

Tanya Arnold has been a tonic.

She is bright, intelligent, articulate, enthusiastic and clearly a very knowledgeable and passionate supporter of Rugby League.

I certainly hope that this move doesn't result in us seeing less of her in future (unless of course they come up with someone just as good or better).

But of course, all this has been said already, many times over.

Next?!

I have read her twitter account and she definitely wants to keep doing Rugby League work and is hoping she can.
